Most restaurants like fast food can reopen for dining but some are just choosing not to and using covid as an excuse can they legally do that?

Why are some simple food over priced at restaurants ?
Favorite Answer:The basic reason is that even the cheapest item they sell has to contribute to fixed business costs.
Staff wages and employee benefits, training, licensing, cost of premises and equipment, cleaning maintenance and repairs of equipment and premises, staff uniforms and laundry, banking and accountancy fees, loan interest and repayments. The list goes on and on before even a hint of any profit is added.
Even items they could obtain and serve at absolutely no net cost to the business still have to carry a share of those costs.
Whether sales are made or not, those costs accrue every day.
Restaurants may well choose to exempt some items from directly contributing to those costs as either promotional items or “loss leaders” which are both methods of trying to more than offset those losses by generating greater sales. It’s why strictly speaking, restaurants should even charge for tap/faucet water which costs them almost nothing per glass; they still have to buy, wash, and periodically replace the glasses/jugs it is served in, and it takes staff time to serve it and clear up afterwards. It also can be used by diners to substitute for buying beverages. But it is usually supplied free on demand because diners expect it and would take their custom elsewhere if forced to pay. Many still choose to pay instead for expensive bottled waters.

Why don't we have healthy fast resteraunts in America?
Favorite Answer:It's possible to eat healthy at some fast food chains--but you won't be eating what they're famous for.
At McDonald's and other burger places, you can order their salad with grilled chicken, and go easy on the dressing. Or the grilled chicken sandwich, no fries.
Pizza chains don't necessarily have a meal-sized salad on the menu. You can at least do thin crust and healthy toppings with low or no fat. Skip the pepperoni, sausage, and olives, and don't get added cheese in any form.
Probably the healthiest fast food around is Panera Bread. When I was doing Weight Watchers, I could eat there without having to balance it out by going light on some other meal.

A church tipped my friends who work at a restaurant $0 on a $3,000 sandwich order. For pick up. Was the no tip fair?
Favorite Answer:FWIW, many people don't believe in tipping for take-out food. The tip is for the server, not any other staffers.

Should tipping be banned at restaurants and just let the establishment charge the right price up front?
Seriously folks. This is some bullshyt. Why don't the restaurants just charge the extra 10-15% up front? If the server performs poorly then let the management manage that. Why should the customer have to do a performance review, calculate wages, and evaluate an employee bonus when he/or she just came out to dine.

Do you tip for curbside pickup? ?
Does anyone tip the workers who bring out your groceries or food to your car? When I order out and it’s at a place that does curbside pickup like chili’s/outback/99restaurant, I will throw them a few $$$. Obviously when I go out to eat I tip 20% but what do you tip when you do curbside pickup? Same with Walmart and target who do the curbside pickup. I’ve never done curbside pickup with them because I don’t know if you’re suppose to tip, I always just go in to get my order. I talked about it with my hairdresser and she said she never even thought about tipping them.
