The environmental damage, not to mention the huge pollution the smoke causes is NEVER mentioned, people are NOT warned to take precautions by wearing mouth caps etc..................

What about the debris falling down like asbestos or other chemicals?

As every tenant feels nowadays the rent has going up dramatically. I my case 20% up at contract renewal or as by RERA. Strange enough RERA rental calculation is always "updating" so no comparison what your tenant is charging you.....................

Everywhere you see activities on sites which were on hold for many years. Even on Pam Deira and The Lagoons. In my area 7 [!!] new 9 floor high apartment buildings are developed and are build very fast! Questions and input:

* People having less to spend, bad for economy?

* People going back to rent a room or sharing, because NO salary increase or higher allowances? More empty apartments? Sending back their kids to home country because cannot pay school fees anymore?

* Who benefits from the rent increase? Landlords and developers?

* It's all about Expo 2020, isn't it?

* Forecast what about Dubai AFTER Expo 2020? In my opinion the Dubai bubble will burst.................

What are the pro and contra's of limited or unlimited contracts?

Suppose an employer wants to terminate/cancel an employee without any legal reason.

The employee refuses, but is been bullied, harassed and wants to file a complaint at MoL. What's the Arabic word of the application used at the complaints department at the MoL to fight the cancellation or when contract is cancelled by MoL due irreconcilable disputes, to get the maximum benefits/compensation? What about the 6 months ban?

Company is flouting and not following UAE labor law, making their own laws by threatening their employees saying if you don't like it sign here and go..............

Don't pay benefits, don't give paid leave as by contract, don't give ticket, don't give health insurance, etc,etc..........

How an employee can report such a company at Labor Office without effected by the wrath of that company?

Where to apply for this health card and when it will be implanted? Should it be mandatory as in Sharjah and AbuDhabi that the employer should be responsible for applying for his employees?

Can anyone recommend an affordable hotel or resort in Bohol [preferable Panglao Island or Baclayon] for November?? We are traveling with 5 adults, so 2 x 2-3 persons room is advisable [no dormitory!] I need weekly rate incl. taxes & fees. Salamat po!!

It comes to my agitated attention that kids in [for example] supermarkets not are monitored or not corrected by their parents. This evening I saw 2 girls from 8-10yrs grabbing grapes, spoiling them around the floor and consuming them with hands full. The parents were standing there and watching them WITHOUT correcting them. Isn't it that without correction the kids learn that it is permitted to STEAL? Plain and simple I call it STEALING. When I talked to the fruit & vegetable in charge she told me she wasn't allowed to confront the parents. That's the task of the security of mentioned supermarket [Carrefour]who were not in sight. It see that behavior almost every time I visit the Carrefour. Let me mention that that behavior I only see at [probably] Pakistani or Indian expats and that I only give the parents "the evil eye" and shake my head. Mostly they don't know how fast they have to leave the area.....................................

A female caregiver is working for 2 years in Riyadh. Her employer wants her to extend her contract till Ramadan 2013. She really wants to return back to the Phills, she didn't see her daughter, parents and family for 2 years and her employers hold her passport. OMG, I saw the queue at Dubai Land Department today. But if you have an "EJARI" tenancy contract straight from your Landlord, no need to attest I think? EJARI = RERA = Land Department?
