I've heard that when you give cash as a gift for an Indian wedding, you should add $1 to the amount to symbolize that the money will never end. But here in Canada, we only have dollar coins. How can I give the money with the extra dollar without weighing the envelope down? If I give a cheque instead, do I add the extra dollar to the amount I'm giving?

The guide books all say that Nice is more down-to-earth and that the hotels are cheaper, but Priceline.com says that Cannes has cheaper hotels. Does that just mean that there are more lower quality hotels in Cannes? In your experience, would a $100 hotel be cleaner and more comfortable in Cannes or in Nice?

I'll be in France at the beginning of August for 5-6 days. I'm looking for a place with sandy beaches and interesting things to see (little hole-in-the-wall museums, good food, good photo ops). Most importantly, I'd like to visit a place that's relatively free of tourists in August.

I will give Best Answer to anyone who can suggest a place on the Mediterranean with sandy beaches that isn't crowded in August. No one-word answers, please; tell me why you are suggesting it!

I live in Canada and will be traveling to Bulgaria at the end of July. I absolutely adore the music of Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares, and I would like to attend a concert while I'm there that follows that particular style. The tour books I've looked at seem to suggest you can only find information about concert schedules over the phone, but I would prefer to use the internet to save time (and long distance charges). Is there a place where I can find concert schedules for music halls in Sofia, or a place where I can buy tickets online?

I saw a car the other day, shaped sort of like a porsche 911/carrera with a spoiler and a logo on the back with a stylized T. The T had serifs dropping down from it and the bottom had a point to it, so I think it was meant to look like a bat. I didn't think to snap a picture with my camera phone, but I'm still curious as to what it was. I think it might be a kit car, but I'm not sure. I haven't seen any car makers starting with a T with that logo, so I think it is the first letter of the model, not the manufacturer. Anyone have any idea what the car is?

I found this image and I recognize the symbol in the top right hand corner but can't remember where I saw it. Can anyone identify it?
