  • What to do with my maternity clothes??!?

so this pregnancy is pretty much over, and soon i wont be needing my maternity clothes any more.

but, i dont know whether to keep them, or give them away [to a second hand shop, or the salvation army].

i dont PLAN on getting pregnant again for a while, like three or four years, if ever. and i really dont want to keep the clothes and lug them around to every where we might move or have a box/tote taking up space. BUT, there is always the chance, no matter how protected we are, that i could get pregnant again sooner than planned and i dont really want to have to buy maternity clothes again, if say i get pregnant in a year or so.

so what would you ladies do? keep the clothes, just in case my plan has a plan of its own, or give them away?

  • i have a question about contractions....probably the dumbest question you will read all day...?

so, i just wanted to know if you could have real contractions [not braxton hicks] even if you: havent lost your mucous plug, your water hasnt broken, your cervix isnt completely open, youre not dilated, etc, etc.

    :)

thanks and have a good day/evening.

  • Does walking/having sex/self inducing only bring on labor if....?

    youre already dilated?

my friend told me theres not point in me having sex everyday, walking or trying to self induce if im not dilated. but i didnt really think that mattered?

im 37 weeks 5 days, and my cervix isnt completely opened yet, but my dr says im 50-70% effaced and i was wondering if walking, having sex, whatever would help speed the process?

  • 31 weeks with menstrual-like cramps..WORRIED!?

im 31 weeks, and since thursday night i have been having menstrual-like cramps, they have gotten gradually stronger, and the pain is pretty bad sometimes. at first i thought it was braxton hicks, but im not so sure now, since the pain has just gotten worse and worse [today has been the worst]. it seems like when they go away, they arent gone long, even if i change my position.

and the watery discharge, ive been having that on and off for a while now. it doesnt smell at all and looks clear...i know that your water doesnt necessarily "gush" and that it can trickle for days and days.

i know that the baby is okay, because she has been moving around and kicking just like normal since the cramps started, shes moving now as a matter of fact.

but i was wondering if i should call my doctors office and see what they think? i dont want to call and have them say its nothing to worry about, so i was wondering what you other ladies think?

  • only 9 weeks to go...when should i?

okay, i asked this earlier, but i only got one answer, and it wasnt any help at all!!

im 31 weeks today, so only 9 weeks to go! yay! [this is our first baby, and im pretty excited. lol.]

but anyway, i was wondering when i should wash all of her new clothes?

we had her baby shower right after thanksgiving, and right now all of the clothes/blankets/burp rags/etc. we got are sitting in a huge tote in the closet. i was wondering when everyone thought i should wash these so that they are ready for her when she comes home?

i dont want to wash them too soon and have to wash them again, but i dont want to have nothing available if she comes a little earlier than planned.

the answer i got earlier was to wait until after i gave birth to wash everything that wasnt gender neutral, because her tech said it was a girl, so she had all girl clothes and washed them before birth, but she ended up having a boy. well, i dont have to worry about that because at 12 weeks we had to do a cvs, and with those results, we knew FOR SURE that we were having a girl. you cant really mess up chromosomes. :)

so if anyone could give me an opinion as to when to wash all of her clothes and such, that would be great!

    thanks ahead of time!

  • Ugh. Itchy Pregnant Belly!!!?

Im 17 weeks into my first pregnancy and my belly has begun to itch like crazy!

I have tried Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula for stretch marks, it doesnt seem to help with the itchiness. I have also tried just regular old cocoa butter, lotions for dry skin, and just some other lotions I have around the house.

    Nothing seems to help.

So pregnant women, or women who have been pregnant, is there any kind of lotion out there you would recommend to help ease this itchy, dry belly of mine?

  • Cat question!! About a cat and its kittens??!!?

My sister just got two kittens on Friday. They are both girls and theyre sisters.

My mom calls them "the twins".

And that got me thinking....can a cat have TWIN kittens? And if it can, how would a person know if they are twins, would it be like a person having twins, could they be identical or fraternal?

  • Has anyone had the Samsing Alias 2 or the Motorola Rapture VU30?

    which one did you have?

what did you think of it?

    did you like it/dislike it?

was it a good phone overall?

i can get a new phone in a month so i have been looking at new ones [i use verizon] and these are two that i like so i was wondering what peoples opinions of them were.

i mostly just text and talk, and i download ringtones and take pictures with my phone now [i have a motorola w755]. i dont really use the internet from my phone.

    thank you!

i also posted this in the cell phone category, but i wanted teens/young adults opinions, since we seem to be more into cell phones and texting and stuff. :]

  • I'm 14 weeks pregnant...is it normal to have leaky breasts?

I was watching tv tonight, and when I got up and looked down at my nightgown, there were little wet spots on it where my nipple had been resting!! [I wasnt wearing a bra.]

Is it at all normal to leak this early, or should I be calling the doctor? I dont have another appointment for three more weeks.

  • We need a great middle name for Baby Sophie!!?

Okay we have already decided the first name will definitely be Sophie, and the last name is Schmoyer.

She will have TWO middle names, and the second one will be Louise, its a family name [my middle, my moms middle, her moms middle, etc].

So her name will be Sophie ________ Louise Schmoyer.

We know its kind of a mouthful, but thats just how its going to be. :]

Thank you for you time and answers!!

  • i need a new hairstyle...help!!!?

okay so this is me now...

    http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...

i cut my hair this short a few months ago because its hot and irritating to deal with...but i want a new hairstyle already. this one is just boring to me. my hair sits right on my shoulders and has a few layers, oh, and i have some bangs, but they are pretty long and i always pull them back.

im pregnant, and my face is already getting chubby so i would really like a hairstyle that helps slim down my face rather than making it look fatter than it is.

if you could post links to the hairstyle you are talking about, that would be great so i can have a picture to take to my stylist.

    thanks for the help. :]
