  • I need immediate assistance regarding severe malnutrition of a pregnant lady!?

I need to know how best to assist a young lady who is suffering from sever malnutrition and is pregnant. She is Filipino and appears to be very withdrawn and possibly suicidal. Her husband does not want any outside assistance or involvement by strangers. I am tempted to call welfare authorities but am uncertain as to the reaction that this lady will experience if placed in the care of total strangers as she cannot communicate well and lives in sheer fear. Please offer advice immediately and rest assured; this is not a joking matter. It is very serious. Thanks for any sincere advice. I normally know steps to take but this one is a little different.
