4 AnswersLanguages7 years agoI am a little puzzled. How do you read big numbers?
The way I used to read 671,043, for instance, was six hundred and seventy-one thousand and forty-three, but I visited some websites where people don't put the word "and" after "hundred" anymore. Is this the new norm or they are wrong? Also, they don't use the hyphen between the tens and the units.

A second question: is there a word or a fixed expression to name that situation in which a student is punished by being kept standing in front of the teachers' office? Sorry, but I can't tell you in which country this punishment is legal.

1 AnswerLanguages9 years agoWhy is it that this section, who is neither spiritual, nor religious, is called Religion and Spirituality?
Almost every time I read questions and then I read the answers in this section I feel a lot of negative energy coming from them. Every group believes that it is better than the rest of the other groups, people insult each other... What is spiritual about it? What is religious about it?

Hey, The Guy, you can answers this, too. By the way, I am not British, I am not even a native speaker of English, I have all the respect in the world for the citizens of the Unites States of America, but no respect for the ones who do not respect their own language, no matter who they are.

5 AnswersOther - Society & Culture10 years agoWhat is wrong with the American educational system?
I know that I might get many nasty answers, but I had to post this question. I intentionally switched to "USA question only" and I can't believe how many people post questions and answers containing lots of grammar and spelling mistakes. What is going on? Judging by the content of those question and answers, the ones who posted them are teenagers. What is your opinion on this?
4 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education10 years agoHey, Christians, can you do this?
Sorry for using this trick to lure you into answering my question, but I posted it in the right section and nobody cared to answer to it. This is my previous post:
