  • expected weight of baby at birth?

    hi. im 38weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. my first baby weighed 3.6kg and i had a difficult labour. ive been very thin all through out my life. the first time i saw the scale move was with my first pregnancy and i was very excited about it so i never bothered about my weight. i gained around 22kg with my first pregnancy ended up having a 'big' baby with difficult labour. this time around i was very careful of wat i eat and maintained a good weight. i gained only 14kg so far and yet in my last scan which was at 37weeks showed the baby weight 3.1kg

    next day i met the doc n she said everything was normal inclduing the weight. today i had another appt n the doc says my expected baby weight is 3.5kg. i feel so upset. i tried so hard to cut down all junk / sugar foods yet my baby is weighing more than average. i cant imagine going thru the same thing once again. i started off at a healthy weight (56kg) n have gained only within the range (70kg today). i dont have any medical issues like diabetes/pressure etc etc. everything is within the normal range. i feel so depressed. im thinking of cutting down carbs completely n rely only on salad n fruits for the next 2 weeks. looking for someone to relate to or some kind words :(

  • Is it safe to use mosquito repellants during pregnancy?

    My younger sister is pregnant 31weeks with her first child and has travelled to India for her delivery. Is it safe for her to use mosquito repellants like All-Out Liquid / Mortein Liquid Repellant / Good Knight repellants etc..

  • Amniotic leak or discharge?

    Hi. im 27 years old and this is my 2nd pregnancy. im 21 weeks today. haven't had any complications been in perfect health. 4 days back (wednesday) i found i had a discharge maybe upto 4-5 drops. then after 2 hours i was dripping a few drops again. then for 2 days nothing. then saturday, again dripped a few drops. then for the rest of the day nothing. today sunday, i dripped thrice. im worried if its just the normal discharge or if im leaking amniotic fluid.

    this pregnancy i have more discharge compared to my previous so i am in doubt what it is!

    the discharge has a bit of yellowish particles and then its like clear liquid.

    baby's nudging and kicking fine.

    I am thinking of visiting the hosp tonight
