  • Why Child Nursing at Uni?

I want to go to university in 2014 to study child nursing, but can't put into words why?! I need a strong opening line to my personal statement as to why i have chosen this degree but i honestly cant come up with anything. I could easily say 'because i love the idea of helping and working with children' but they would've heard this 1000000 times before. Please can anyone help???? :)

  • Guy ignores me face to face?

I met a guy at a party in December and he tried to kiss me but i said no. Then, in January he randomly started a few conversations on facebook but we didn't talk much. Now, we text quite a lot, most days, but he still completely blanks me at school ... though i do catch him sometimes looking at me (he's in the year above). Its been 4 days and he hasn't text me, don't know what to do! I want to message him but i started the last conversation and sent the last text ... what should i do?

I do think he likes me as he's said a few little things and my friends think me might too, but we're both shy people

  • I've got very bad pain in my coxis / coccyx / tail bone?

At about 1pm today, i went to sit down and my friend pull away my chair. I didn't realise, and therefore heavily fell to the ground. Ever since then, the pain has been getting worse and worse. Its 9 hours later and when ever i stand, sit, walk, cough or climb stairs i'm in a lot of pain. Is this normal, and when will it go away?

  • Self - conscious and inexperienced... (guys and girls advice?)?

I have quite low self-esteem and it sucks! I think i'm quite loud not ugly but not stunning, and i hate my hair (brunette/curly) though my friends all love it. I've never had a boyfriend (other than year 5 haha) and never kissed a guy or done anything. When i think of a guy 'liking' me, it makes me feel all awkward and i don;t know why! Also, my breasts aren't the biggest, though i used to me more self-conscious about this.

Also, kind of awkward to talk about but whats your opinion on girl shaving 'downstairs' ?

  • Why does he ignore me after trying to kiss me?

I went to my friends 18th birthday party (im nearly 17) and met this guy. He was lovely, sweet, funny, good looking and was in the year above me at my school. We both got pretty drunk and towards the end of the night he was trying to kiss me, but i said no. Ever since then, he's been kind of ignoring me. If he walks past me he doesn't even look at me. It's been a month now, what should i do?

  • Why am i so nervous about guys?

I'm nearly 17 and never been in a relationship, or kissed a guy! Some guys have liked me and i like them, but the idea of a guy liking me in that way or being in a relationship scares me! I'm quite a closed person, and i think this may be my problem. Also, i'm quite shy, and i don't think i would have the guts to kiss or do other stuff with a guy, i sometimes think alcohol may help (like getting with a guy at a party). Whenever i find out a guy likes me, i end up ignoring him even if i like him, what can i do?

  • Plant growth (Photosynthesis, Respiration and Protein Synthesis)?

I need some help understanding plant growth. I want to know if this is right :

Photosynthesis produces glucose. This glucose is then used for respiration, and energy is produced. This energy is then used in growth, but more cells means that more protein is required. This means that protein synthesis must take place. In order for this to happen, amino acids must be developed. The excess glucose from respiration is then used to make glucose. This then means that cell division through mitosis can occur, meaning the plants grow.

    Thankyou!
