  • Cost of new a/c compressor?

    I had a Trane XR60 Furnace installed 2 years ago but elected (unwisely) not to have a new compressor installed. (Paid $3K) The compressor is a 2 ton and it is about 10 years old. It is simply not doing its job and I have had several people tell me it needs to be replaced with a large unit. Does anyone have any idea how must this is going to cost me?
