  • How do you know what guests will appear on the Graham Norton Show?

So I want to apply for some tickets to the Graham Norton Show, and there's many dates to choose from, but how do I know what guests will appear on the show beforehand? Often I hear audience members tell they knew in advance that their favorite actor would appear on the show and they got their tickets in advance, so I wonder, how do they know?

I love the show, but sometimes there's actors, singers or comedians I do not know, and since I do not live in the UK I feel it would be a little bit of a waste to watch a show with people I do not know.

Can anyone help me? Thanks so much!

  • Names for a Stabyhoon?

My mom and I are trying to convince my dad to get a dog (our old one passed away a few years back). My dad is set on getting another Stabyhoon (which was our other dog's breed) if he ever gets a new dog. So I'm trying to come up with names for it - if we get one. I'm a little stuck though, so I was wondering if you could list some names of dogs you've heard that you thought were cute.

For male and female dogs. Thanks!

  • Names for a Samoyed ?

My mother and I are trying to convince my father to get a dog (our old dog passed away a few years ago). We like the Samoyed because it's super cute and doesn't shed (and it's so fluffy I could die, seriously). So we're thinking about the Samoyed now.

I already have some names listed, but not sure if my mom has the same taste in names as me, so I could use a little help in listing some extra names in case she hates the ones I already have.

I need names for male and female dogs.

    Thanks!

  • For those who have been to a kpop fanmeeting before..?

Could you tell me what things they do? What it's like? I get the feeling it will just be, waiting in line for an hour to see the person, maybe get an autograph and a handshake and then you're pushed away by security and that's it? Or is it more?

Could you tell me about the experiences you've had at these fanmeetings?

    Thanks ^^

  • Can someone translate this into Japanese for me?

I've been exchanging some emails with a hotel with a concert venue but they don't seem to understand English at all and refuse to use google translate or send me a japanese mail saying they don't understand english. So far I have been asking a friend to translate my emails into Japanese but she hasn't been on in a while due to vacation. The hotel told me to call them (despite knowing I am from Europe) which i simply can't do due to the language barrier.

So I sent them an email in English, which they haven't answered at all, so I want to send another one in Japanese. But I need your help since I don't speak Japanese.

    My email:

    Dear sir/madam,

I'd like to thank you for your reply. It has come to my attention that your staff probably does not understand English and therefore has not replied to my other email. I am sorry for having replied in English. I do not speak nor understand Japanese, so it is impossible for me to make a phone call to your hotel. As I mentioned before, I am from the Netherlands in Europe, which is another reason it's hard for me to make a phone call.

I would still like to discuss the gifts I wish to bring to the concert (LEAD, september 5th at 18:30) with you, however, and wish to know if there is another way for us to discuss this.

Is it possible for us to bring the gifts and hand them over to the staff so they can hand them to LEAD or can we do it ourselves?

I apologize for the inconvenience, and want to thank you for your time.

    -m/n-

    thanks!

  • Shoujo anime without mary sue lead?

Lately I've been getting back into anime and I thought I'd give some shoujo animes a chance this time. I've watched a few but I noticed most of them have awful mary sues as female leads and it is super annoying. I finish the anime because I like the other characters, but seeing that female lead takes so much of the fun away.

So I was wondering if you guys could recommend some animes where the female lead isn't an annoying mary sue?

(examples of what I conider mary sue is Tohru from Fruits Basket, Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew, Haruhi on OHSHC (though I could live with her, she wasn't as annoying as the others) and so on)

    Any interesting ones?

  • "Gold", "Silver", "Bronze" in different languages?

Could someone post those three words in their own language? I don't trust google with it since they often translate wrong in one way or another.

I already have: Dutch, English, Spanish, German, Latin and Japanese.

Other languages are welcome. Thanks a lot !

  • Some anime (or even hentai) with male non-human characters?

I'm looking for some anime (or hentai are fine too, but preferably anime) with male characters that are not human but look human (aka they do need to have physical features that shows they're not regular humans). Like furries (half cats, etc.), elves or demons/angels of some sort.

I know Inuyasha, fruit basket, shugo chara, and utawarerumono so not those.

Any other is welcome :) thanks

  • Any good fantasy anime with good art?

I'm looking for asome good magic or fantasy anime, preferably set in a medieval/fantasy setting/world, though modern is fine too. I don't mind if the story is a bit weird, as long as the artwork is good.

They can be anime where people transform and change outfits, or where they can shapeshift into creatures, are half human or human-like creatures or just use magic/have special powers.

(btw, I like art like, Tokyo Mew Mew, Izumo, Black Butler, Utawarerumono, Air, Chobits, etc.)

    Thanks!

  • Bringing gifts to concerts in japan?

When Japanese or Korean artists come to Europe, fans often bring gifts to the concert. There will be booths etc. where they can bring the gifts, and they will then be handed over to the artist by the staff.

I was wondering if it's custom/normal/okay to bring a gift to a concert in Japan? I am going to a concert in Fukushima, and also to Inazuma Rock Festival in Shiga this September, and I was thinking of bringing something small from my country for the artist I am going to see.

Is that generally allowed, or is it not very common to bring gifts to singers/bands?

  • Clothing stores in Japan that sell...?

I'm going to Japan later this year and one of the things my friend and I are going to do is shopping (obviously lol). We will be mainly shopping in Tokyo (shinjuku, harajuku, and possibly some other places) But since we're both bigger than the regular Japanese sizes and also taller than them, I was wondering if there are shops that sell clothes for people between the sizes of 36/38 - 40/42 (european).

I, myself, am looking for rock, punk, lolita, gothic etc in bright or really dark colors. but also extremely cute and girly clothes in pastel colors etc. so if you know any clothes in those styles in those sizes,

  • Gender for "Sorrel"?

I cam across the name Sorrel, which is a unisex name derived from the herb, but also an old French name. Either way I was interested in it and wish to add it to my list of names for future characters. It would fit in the world I have created. Anyway my question is, if you read this name in a story or saw it in a game, what gender do you think the person (or animal/creature) would have?

Right now I'm leaning towards a guy, but I also think it'd be sweet for a female character.

  • Mysterious sounding boy names?

I am helping my friend with her game project and there is a character who hides his identity from others (basically there is a mixup in identity and he doesn't bother to fix it). Now, I have the name ready that others will call him, but I need his real name for later in the game.

I was hoping for something either mysterious sounding or something with a dark or sad meaning. The 'substitute' name he has during the game is something sweet, so I want something of the opposite to contrast it.

The game takes place in a medieval fantasy world, similar to the Fire Emblem series so no modern names please. thanks for the suggestions

  • What are free programs that count the amount of colors a picture has?

I need a program that can count the amount of colors that are in a picture. For a project I'm working on, I need to create mugs for a game, but the programm we need to use only allows a max of 16 colors (including the background). So I need a program that can count how many colors I have used (and preferably where all those colors are / which pixels are different colors), so I can narrow it down if needed.

At first I used Color Count for Paint.net, but the program is not working well. At first it said I used over 6000 colors, and it keeps being stuck on 80, even though I am nowhere near that amount of colors.

Anyone know of a free program that can count the colors for me?

  • Can someone translate this to Japanese for me?

I am trying to contact a company, but they're not replying to my English emails since they probably don't speak English or don't care about foreign fans (both are very likely) so I was hoping that someone could translate my email into Japanese so I could send it to them in their own language?

    What I need translated is:

    Dear sir/madam,

I have a question regarding regestering on this website. I have noticed that fans who live outside of Japan cannot register on your website, and therefore can't buy any of your products. It has come to my attention that this happens a lot of times (when buying concert tickets, signing up as a member of the official fanclub, and now here) non-Japanese fans, such as European or American fans, are left out. It hurts to not be able to buy these amazing items or be a part of the fanclub and support an artist we love, simply because we're foreign.

Because of this, I ask you if you could make it possible for fans outside of Japan to register and log in on this website, so we can also enjoy the amazing items you sell.

Thank you in advance for your reply,

    With kind regards,

    A European fan.

  • Out of these, what would you name a Stabyhoun and Australian Shepherd?

Out of the list below, which of the names would you choose to name a Stabyhoun and Australian Shepherd?

Names can be used more than once if you think they fit both dogs and you can pick more than one name if you think more names fit the dog breed.

Please pick at least one name for both genders.

Male: Merlin, Oberon, Orion, River, Severus (HP), Tibarn (Fire Emblem), Pippin (LotR), Thorin (hobbit), Misha.

Female: Nova, Luna (HP), Nala, Nailah (Fire Emblem), Umbriel, Echo, Avalon.

Unisex: Nori (after my favorite singer Takanori Nishikawa).

    Other suggestions are welcome too
