  • Does anyone recognise this 90's pop song by a female artist?

It's not A Thousand Miles! I heard this all the time when I was growing up, but can't recall a single word. Heard it at the shopping centre recently, but couldn't make out the words. Please help! There's a chance it could be an Australian artist, but I honestly have no clue. All I could recall is the chorus which you can hear through the link provided. Thanks in advance! https://www.watzatsong.com/en/name-that-tune/69418...

  • Why does my temple hurt on the left side when I touch it?

I've noticed lately that it feels painful with only a light touch- like when I'm washing my face or applying face cream. I'm only 26. The result that keeps popping up on Google is temporal arteritis. I'm really starting to worry about the pain because it feels so sensitive- like I've gone and hit my head on something and it feels bruised. I don't notice the pain until I touch that same spot. It's been on and off for a while, but it's really starting to bug me now. I'm going to see a doctor about this when the lockdown ends in a few days...

  • Are there any small mp3 players that sound as good as an ipod?

I bought an mp3 player a while back (a small one with a clip designed for walking) and was surprised to find that the sound quality of the music wasn't anywhere near as good as an ipod. I thought that all mp3 players worked the same and that as long as you have a good pair of earphones, the music will sound exactly the same. Anyway, the only ipods that I can see on the website are the ipod tough and those are too big for listening to music while I'm at the gym. I want something small that I can just clip to my pants and play on shuffle. Do you have any good recommendations? Thank you!

  • Looking for an acoustic version of INXS's 'Never Tear Us Apart'. Does anyone know it?

It definitely sounded like Joe Cocker. I found a version that he recorded of the song on YouTube, but it wasn't an acoustic version. The version I heard on the radio was mostly a piano accompaniment. It was very well polished. I'd appreciate if anyone knows which version I am talking about!

  • Why do I feel extremely weak in hot weather?

If it is hot and humid, my arms will feel heavy and weak, as well as my head. The weakness can even go into my legs. My ears will suddenly feel full too and I'll hear a loud ringing sound in my ears until I am cool again. It is literally impossible to do anything when the heat gets to me, which is concerning because I have no idea how I'll ever be able to work in the Australian summer if this keeps happening. I used to be able to tolerate the heat, but my body can't seem to do that anymore and I'm not sure why. I am literally lying down with the fan on as I write this because I feel so weak and sleepy. I'm only 26. I eat well and drink maybe 2 litres of water a day. I have also eaten, so it's not that my blood pressure is low or anything...

  • What does it mean if you experience a sudden rotten smell and taste in the mouth?

I was literally just lying in bed trying to sleep, then boom, I taste and smell this extreme foul odour. I can only describe it as what I'd expect a rotting tooth and gum to smell/taste like. I was sucking on my cheek for minutes trying to see if anything was coming from my gum (where my wisdom tooth was removed a couple of years ago), and nothing. It just came and then vanished within a couple of minutes. Startled me so much, I jumped out of bed and switched the light on. I don't know what's more terrifying- an extreme infection in my jaw/body or phantom smells that could be a sign of a brain tumour. I can't afford to see a specialist, I'm really scared. I'm only 26. Went to the dentist just a couple of weeks ago for a scale and clean and nothing unusual. It's not my dental hygiene, either. I floss every night before bed, brush my teeth, and scrub my tongue. There is no sign whatsoever now of what I experienced, but the stench and taste was revolting. It really gave me a shock and I'm afraid to sleep now...

  • Looking for a popular/alternate version of Tom Petty's 'American Girl'. Does anyone know it?

I've heard it a number of times on the radio. It is Tom Petty, but the instrumentation is different in this version. It's smoother, more of a band/acoustic sound to it. A little more country. I think there are even some backing vocals/harmonies, but I can't remember though. Sounds like an all round, polished version of the song. If I didn't already know the original, I would have thought that it was the official version...

  • Why is my touch bar disappearing on my MacBook Pro?

It's been like this for a while. Just started with the 'Siri' icon, it was only showing half of the picture... sometimes only a third of it. Now it's gone and the mute button has part of it cut off. I'm worried the whole thing is going to disappear. When I tap the black space where the Siri button was, it still opens Siri, but I can't see where it is. When I open the emojis also, the part where siri was (and a bit more) is cut off, so some of the emojis are cut off at the end until I drag them across/scroll further. I can't afford to have this fixed professionally... 😕

  • Looking for an alternate version of 'American Girl' by Tom Petty?

I heard it on the radio the other day. It was definitely Tom singing, but the music was put together differently. It sounded softer and I think there was another artist singing backup... maybe a collaboration. It sounded like a proper recorded version, not live and I honestly think it sounds better compared to the studio version. Does anyone know which version this is?

  • Do you know what Queen/Freddie Mercury song this is?

It's just Freddie and a piano from what I remember. There's this motif(?) that's played throughout most of the song- just four ascending notes on the piano. It's a very somber song. Very beautiful. The only lyrics at the end of the song I can remember are, "To tell you what I/I've _______." Then the very last line of the song is three words, like, "I love you" or something. Does anyone know what song this is? Thank you!

  • What 90's dance/trance song is this?

It goes like, 'Don't give up, it's your life. Gotta do what you wanna do." It's a male vocalist. I know the song, but I think my memory of the lyrics is a bit off so it's hard to find...

  • Looking for a 00's song by a male band with the title 'Together'?

I only remember that word in the song, too, so it's been hard to find. I don't know the genre. Maybe a little alternative/indie rock. It's a slow song, pretty chill. I remember it's a 4 beat, but the 7 and 8 count are off beats. Not really sure how to describe it. The lyrics of the chorus are something like "We could ____ ____ ____ ..... together". I don't know if 'We could/can' is even a part of it. Maybe my brain is just trying to fill in the gaps. I think the song is meant to be a little depressing. I think it's about a relationship that couldn't work because of the woman. I'm not sure though. I just remember it was a cool sounding song. Pretty sure the name of the band is two words and it's 'The (something) '. I just can't remember the name, or it would have been a lot easier to find. Likely was released between 2006 and 2011.

  • What is the least toxic 'non-stick' pan you can buy?

I use my stainless steel pot for all my cooking, but there are certain things that can't be cooked (even with oil!) without sticking to the pot. I need at least one non-stick pan for those types of meals, but I've heard that pretty much all of them are toxic. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you!

  • What other popular song has these lines from Biggie Smalls' 'Big Poppa'?

I think the lyrics are only slightly different. The guy sings something like:

Maybe you could tell your friends

    To get with my friends

    We could/should be friends

It's an upbeat song, maybe from between 1999-2004. Anyone know? Might be a song with a similar sound to Ride Wit Me by Nelly, but I'm honestly struggling to remember right now. I was just listening to Big Poppa and I remembered that another song took those lyrics...

Why is my hair only curly at the very top?

I had my first curl cut recently. Only the top was curly, the rest straight. My hairdresser said the hairs at the side and back are too short to form curls, but some of the curls on top are the same length! Is it even possible to only have curls at the very top? I'm really worried the curls will never come out. I don't know what to do with my hair!!!!

Also, the last picture is what was taken the day I had my curl cut. I had gel put in and it was diffused (I don't have a diffuser myself yet so air dry). Also, my hair looks like crap in the pictures, so sorry. That was a bad hair day for me as I was experimenting with the denman brush (I usually just rake with gel).

  • Why won't my hair curl at the sides and the back?

I went my entire life thinking my damaged curls were just waves and massive frizz. Had my first curl cut recently and had all the chemically straightened hair chopped off- meaning my hair had to be cut very short. The top of my head is like a massive mop of curls on the entire top portion when I apply gel after washing. From about an inch above ear height down though, there is no curl at all. The entire back of my head has no curl either. The hairdresser said that those hairs are 'too short' to curl and not to worry because the curl will come out as it grows, but I'm worried it won't. Some of those straighter strands are the same length as the strands toward the top of my head that do curl by raking my fingers through it. It just seems strange to me. Do you think the curls will come out? Maybe they're just bigger curls and not as fine as the ones on top of my head so I can't see them yet? I don't think I've ever heard of anyone experiencing this. I know people can have combination hair- even some of my 'curls' on top are more like weird waves that have a slight spiral, but to have all curls on the top surface and straight everywhere else? It just don't seem possible to me...

Curly girls: Do you think I should bother with a pricey haircut, or should I shave my head and start over?

My hair is SO DAMAGED, I honestly don't know what to do at this point. I want to have my hair natural from now on, but it will look like crap for the next 6 months even with a haircut. I'm booked for a haircut with a curly hair specialist, but I know no one can make my hair look presentable right now. There is too much breakage at the crown from tying my hair in a tight bun every day and slathering gel on top to fight the wire-y frizz. Even with a nice short cut and bringing out my curls, this halo of frizz will not go away until its grown out and cut off. Should I bother wasting my money when my hair won't look good yet, or just shave it off and have a whole head of perfect short curls 6 months from now? The only thing that worries me is that I don't think the look would suit me at all and I'd have to wear head turbans or something until my scalp is covered. But... I just don't know what to do and I'm sick of looking in the mirror and seeing all this damage. What do you think?

  • I'm in need of an efficient printer/scanner. Do you have any recommendations?

I need something that can scan FAST as I have hundreds (probably thousands) of pages to scan. I can't use a printer/scanner with a feeder though as the things I'm scanning are stapled into booklets and can't be taken apart. I've used scanners in the past that take a good minute or two just to do ONE PAGE. It's insane. Are they all this slow, or are there any that can scan and immediately be saved to a laptop?

Why does my hair feel rough and look 'kinky' at the foots (baby hairs)?

They feel like guitar strings! My hair is naturally wavy. The strands feel reasonably smooth, but the hairs around my forehead feel so much rougher, but only toward the root (a few centimetres). I know it's hard to see in the picture, but in person the rough bits look very 'crinkly' and there's no pattern. I don't use any heat on my hair. I use a daily-leave in (girly girl approved). I use a moisture shampoo and conditioner and a hair mask every 1-1.5 weeks. The only thing I can think of that might damage my hair at the front is tying my hair in a tight bun when I go out (I use a natural and gentle hair gel). What do you think?

What is wrong with my hair and how do I manage it?

Ever since puberty, my hair went from smooth and wavy to wavy with massive frizz. It looks like some kind of wave/afro hybrid. I really don't know what to do about it.

I've been trying to treat my hair as curly hair lately and keep it hydrated, but nothing seems to work. Those frizzy bits just stay up, even if I slather my hair in coconut oil. They'll just grow in whatever direction they please. I can't keep rebonding (permanently straightening) my hair as it's now damaged and insanely dry and the treated parts of my hair (not pictured) need to be chopped off now. I don't want to have to iron my hair daily either as it's not good for it.

At the moment, I wear my hair down at home, but have no choice but to tie it up tight while it's still damp and slather the top in hair gel to remove the frizz and prevent the waves from setting in. I then straighten the pony (not regrown parts of hair) and put on a head band to keep it looking neat. I am SICK and tired of how much work it is just to make my hair look presentable and how uncomfortable it is having to have my hair up so tight on an almost daily basis.

So my question is- do any of you have hair like mine? My hair will be really short once I cut off the dead/treated parts and I'm worried a nice cut, curl cream, and hair gel still won't work to make it look presentable. What do you think?

P.S. Those pictures don't do justice for just how thick my hair strands are. And all I can feel running my hand over my hair is the frizz.
