  • I could do with losing a stone!! :)?

    Hi,

I could do with some help please!

I'm 32, 6"0, 15 stone so 210 lbs. I'm running around 2or 3 times a week on a 3 mile, 5k route. I would like to lose a bit of weight, probably a stone, so 14lbs, it's quite gard to do, it's only my stomach, belly area around my belly button where I have fat, maybe a but on my legs.

Id like to find out the best way to lose a stone please, I'm finding it hard. I have a naturally athletic build so to look at I'm not really 'overweight' as such, I just need to lost some weight.

    Can you help at all?

    Many thanks,

    Richard

  • Audio/speaker problems with my iphone 3GS in car, please help! :?)?

    HI all,

I have an Iphone 3GS which I use in my car as an mp3 player. Up to now its worked fine, no problems, its produced the same amount of sound as the CD player does. However one morning, quite randomly, It decided to stop playing through the left hand speaker (the passenger side at the front), the drivers side speaker was fine and normal. A problem with the speaker I hear you say? Well, if I flick the CD button on my radio, all speakers will work fine, its only when I flick back to mp3 when the speaker cuts out and sounds faint.

Can this be a problem with the cable? The iphone still works, the songs are clear and loud from one speaker, but surely it canat be a problem with the speakers as when on radio or CD, they work like a dream!

    Help please! :(

    Thank you! :)

  • My girlfriend still wants to speak with her ex and its doing my head in!! advice and help wanted asap!!?

My girlfriend and I have been dating for 6 months and though it’s fairly early days some may say, we are very much in love. We are talking about getting married and we both want that, We are both naturally very laid back and easy going people an really argue or fall out. So what’s the problems I hear you say??!

The problem we have, in fact the ONLY problem in our relationship is her ex boyfriend. They dated for a number of years which is a long time, however in that time she said they realised very quickly that they were only friends and though they never officially ended their relationship, they were very rarely intimate inn a physical sense (you could count on your hands how many times!) (So in a number of yrs not many at all), but its still does my head in!! She said the other night that she wants to stay in contact, albeit not very often, but I don’t want her to be in contact with him at all. I can just imagine them chatting and reminiscing about the 'good old days' and though she says they finished for a reason and they weren’t right together and that she thinks its good that they broke up and were able to stay friends, I still hate it. Yes, I admit this may be a flaw in my character, not being able to deal with it, but the fact is that I can't.

She really does love me like no other girl I have known and always put me first which I know is great, I just really struggle emotional knowing that she has this guy who she was very close to emotionally and physically for a number of years, able it not very often.

    What should I do?

    Chill out a bit?

Be justified in having an issue with this?

Count my blessings I have such a lovely and committed gf?

Not expect too much from a relationship?

    Get over myself?

Accept everyone has a past? (But she wants to keep him in the present too)

    Anything else?

    All responses gratefully received

    Cheers guys

  • Where to visit in paris - HELP!!?

I need help - where should I visit in Paris?

    Hi

I am going to Paris for 4 days in September, its been 10 years since I have been and I want to have a great time!

I am looking for things to do in the night time and fun at night!! The thing, is I dont know where these things are in Paris, If you know a place, can you please say which metro stop it is nearest to? I have a metro map and should be able to find it from there?

My second point is: people are always saying go to the Latin Quarter but I don’t know where in Paris it is. Is it near ‘Place d’italie’?????

    Thanks very much!!

  • Travelling questions!!!!!!!!1?

    Hay all,

    This is my potential route.............

Manchester - Thailand (Bangkok) - Vietnam - Cambodia - Laos - back to Bangkok or Singapore - Darwin (do some west coat of Oz) then bus it to Cairns, drive down east coast to Melbourne - Christchurch - Auckland - Fiji/Cook Islands - back to Auckland - Santiago - travel up through Argentina then back to Manchester.

I plan to cover SE Asia in about 2 months, then spend about 4 months in Oz, 1 month in NZ, 2/3 weeks in the islands and a couple of months in South America.

I have a few questions which I'm guessing a few of you may know the answer to....

1, I know its pretty easy to meet people in hostels in Oz as there with the whole dorms thing, but Ive heard its a little more difficult in Asia and South America as most hostels have single rooms, is ths true? I'll be a solo traveller who would appreciate someone to travel with or a group to tag along with. Anyone got any ideas of meeting fellow backpackers??

2, How easy is to meet fellow travellers to hang out/travel with? I'm guessing fairly easy but you know what Its like, when travel becomes a reality you just think the worst :O. Im guessing it will be cool but you know..............

3, Im thinking £5000 for 9 months, but will be looking to get work in Oz once I'm there, you know, all part of the experience and all that. Is £5000 enough?

4, What are the atmospheres like in hostels, does everyone mix or are there cliques and peopleand groups who keep themselves to themselves? I would kind of like to get to a hostels and quickly meet people and start to make friends, not have to see things by myself. I'm a firm believer that a trip is made by the memories of the people you meet rather than the museum you saw?? Thoughts?

5, One final question, is it true there are notice boards up in hostels especially in Oz where people are advertsising their own roadtrips etc where if you want to join them, just give them a call? Just wondered on that one really.

    thanks :)

  • AAGGHH!! What should I do??!!?

I have recently split up with my girlfriend, I want to go traveling, I have about £11,000 saved up so can afford to go around the world for a year while working in Australia. I am just a little apprehensive about coming back to the UK (where I'm from) to have no job, having to live with my parents again, and being 31! (im 29 now but will be 31 upon my return, if I go for a year?)

Im thinking well this is a chance of a lifetime, if you go when your retired it will be a completely different experience, I wont be able to do half the things I can now, in my youth!

Its taken me about 3/4 years to finally get a 'career' not just a 'job', I'm worried I wont be able to get a decent job when I get back.

What if I end up going and spending thousends of pounds/dollers and end up not having a great time or meeting people I get on with??

Am I just a natural worrier? Should I just go? After all, you only get one life here on earth, it aint no dress rehersal after all??

    Decisions, decisions!!!!

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Also, lots of people look ike they are well rough, chavs (for your brits) red necks (for Ameicans), well not red necks but defo loud mouths? Im not sure I would get on with that kiond of person. Guess I'm just a little worried that they would be the only kind of person I would meer, as that;s all Ive seen.
