  • U2's Pride (In the name of Love) lyrics...?

    "Early morning, April 4,

A shot rings out in the Memphis sky..."

It's well-documented it happened at 6:01 (or 6:02) pm. Does anybody know why Bono says "early morning?"

  • S.1867, The Senate, and the constitution...?

The First Amendment clearly states: "No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, ... nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;"

S.1867 is a clear antithesis of this basic foundation of our nation, not to mention Posse Comitatus which has been violated with other bills passed into law by our last 3 Presidents. I'd bet on them passing it and Obama signing it.

My questions are: Is the Senate purposely rendering itself illegitimate? Are they committing institutional suicide? Are you going to stand for this? Are you willing to surrender your rights for false security?

This isn't the first, nor the last awful legislation in the Senate but this time I view it differently. I view it more with sadness for them and sadness for We The People. I view it with sadness for the sacrifices of our Founders and all the men and women who have ever fought for our country.

BQ: Senators Carl Levin(D) and John McCain(R) cannot be this shortsighted, stupid, and evil. So who is actually writing the text of S.1867?

    Thank you.

  • Did Anyone Else Guess The 3rd Agency Perry Would Abolish?

I guessed it! "Dept of Energy"

However, I sprained my elbow patting myself on the back. heh heh.

Ron Paul suggested 5 LOL! That's even better. I'd abolish as many as they got!!

  • Should we be concerned about Fukushima radiation in food?

I live in the Midwest USA. I'm particularly curious about cow milk, but also, if you have any info on produce, especially from California, or any other concerns. Clearly the FDA, EPA, WHO, IAEA, and mainstream media won't tell us. And maybe they're right, maybe there's little or no concern, but we're just plain foolish if we take them for their word.

    OPTIONAL READING:

We would like this concern for transparency to extend to other areas, and in particular to WHO’s relationship with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), one of whose objectives is to promote the use of civil nuclear power. Few people are aware that WHO and the IAEA signed an agreement, on 28 May, 1959 (WHA12-40) which in practice prevents either of these two UNO agencies publicly adopting a position which could be detrimental to the interests of the other.

This agreement explains the disinformation emanating from WHO in relation to nuclear power, and notably in relation to the health consequences of the Chernobyl accident. The press release of 5 September 2005, cosigned by WHO and the IAEA, is an example. It announces a “definitive” total of fifty or so deaths and 4000 potential deaths following exposure to radioactivity after the accident, with not a word about the hundreds of thousands of liquidators from all over the USSR who cleaned up the site. And yet, of the 173,000 Russian liquidators, registered as victims following their work at Chernobyl, 10% were dead by 2001 and 30% were recognized as invalids (declaration of the Director of Health of Russia at the Kiev Conference on Chernobyl in 2001) Nothing either, on the health condition of the children in Belarus, despite the fact that, according to the Vice Minister of Health, only 20% of them were considered in “good health” in the year 2000, as against 80% in 1985.

    http://independentwho.info/Documents/Manifeste_EN....

Nothing good about the nuclear news at the end of August as we have official recognition (finally) of what is going on in Japan and thus what is threatening the rest of the world, especially the northern hemisphere.

It is now being said that the amount of radioactive cesium that has leaked from a tsunami-hit nuclear plant is about equal to 168 of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima at the end of World War II, Japan’s nuclear agency said Friday the 26th.

That’s like dropping one nuclear weapon a day since the beginning of this disaster and this is what they have been calling safe...

  • So let me get this straight RE: bin laden story...?

This is what we're supposed to believe...

    * OBL was our ally in helping fight the Russians in Afghanistan in the late 80s.

    * The relationship somehow soured and he orchestrated 9/11 bringing the wrath of our military might to his stomping grounds and many surrounding Muslim countries.

    * After his resounding "success" in 9/11, the best he could do for an encore was the Detroit 'underwear fizzler' who did have PETN but forgot(?) the blasting cap.

    * We invaded 'enemies' Afghanistan, Iraq and our 'ally' Pakistan.

    * We killed him in Pakistan after almost a decade of war and intelligence gathering in the region. At the same time, we're being conditioned for more attacks and more war as a result of possible attacks.

    * Though there is a $27 million reward, we put his body on a military ship and bury it at sea?!

    * Obama, U.S. Congress, the Pentagon, all of whom are proven liars, warned us about Saddam's "NOOKS!" are now telling us the truth.

    * I suppose the logical conclusion from all this is: INVADE IRAN! lol.

I know I might look stupid, but come on. Are we really supposed to believe this stuff?!

I liked Muse and Streisand. Both were fantastic IMHO!

I thought Katy Perry did a poor lip-sync and Mick Jagger should have chosen a better song to perform. Your thoughts?

  • Can you see the lunar eclipse?

I can see it here in Michigan!

Geoff Chester of the US Naval Observatory inspected a list of eclipses going back 2000 years.

“Since Year 1, I can only find one previous instance of an eclipse matching the same calendar date as the solstice, and that is 1638 DEC 21,” says Chester. “Fortunately we won’t have to wait 372 years for the next one…that will be on 2094 DEC 21.”

    Winter arrives at 6:38 pm.

    Have a great day!

  • If I Promise Not To Steal Any Land For 90 Days?

...will President Obama and Hillary Clinton give me $3 billion?

If you think that's preposterous, so do I.

    http://poorrichards-blog.blogspot.com/2010/11/amer...

While homeless vets sleep in the streets, Obama gives $3 billion MORE to a foreign country. Can I get some? I'd donate some to good causes and spend spend spend to boost retail sales. It's a win-win. What are we getting in return for this latest gift?

  • New NSA Advisor Donilon: Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Fannie Mae?

Change we can believe in??? The former NSA chief James Jones, a higly decorated 4-star general, also was on the board of directors of Boeing and Chevron.

With all the lack of change, the parade of war profiteers and bailed-out business moguls in and out through the revolving door, do you still support Obama and the Democrat party? Isn't it painfully obvious there is one party in Washington; the war party. Can't we get 40 million voters to vote for a non-establishment candidate - one who just might represent We the People over muti-national corporations? Is there any other way to reduce the wars, police actions, proxy wars, and regional conflicts in which we're involved? Or should we 'stay the course' until we're completely insolvent and nobody will buy our debt? Thanks.

  • How Many Unarmed Aid Workers Will The IDF Exterminate Today?

I'm guessing none, they're not allowed to kill "self-hating Jews" but lowly Gentiles or **gasp** Muslims would be squashed like ants. Even an American, right (Furkan Dogan)? What's your guess? And will any cookies and flour get into Palestine or will they be eaten by dock workers in Ashdod?

  • Why Does It Always Seem To Be Texas?

DALLAS – A judge on Monday overturned the 1993 conviction of a deaf man who was sent to prison for raping a 5-year-old girl despite an absence of physical evidence linking him to the attack.

Stephen Brodie, 39, dropped his head in relief after an interpreter signed to him that Judge Lena Levario had set aside his conviction on the grounds of actual innocence. He then turned to face the courtroom audience, some of whom waved both hands in the air — sign language for applause.

    -Associated Press

It happened here a couple times, but it seems Texas has had some seriously corrupt police, judges, and prosecutors for decades! Have they ever prosecuted or at least fired any of these corrupt individuals who've ruined innocent lives and families?

  • Hey Republicans and Democrats?

"National Security Used As Pretext to Confiscate Samples and Notes On Dispersant, Homeland Security Works For BP?"

"I’m an adjunct professor here at A&M, and we were also in the Gulf, but got thrown out. We were testing a theory that the chemical composition of the dispersant they were using was causing the oil to sink. And we’d been there for approximately three days, and federal agents flat told us to get out. And it wasn’t Fish and Wildlife officers. These were Homeland Security officers, and we were told that it was in the interest of national security.

So basically The Department of Homeland Security is working FOR BP!? This is open treason and should be prosecuted accordingly! If this was just a normal oil disaster why would Homeland Security be confiscating scientific samples?"

    http://theintelhub.com/2010/09/14/national-securit...

This is why we were opposed to Homeland Gestapo, the Patriot Acts I and II, the Military Commissions Act, TARP, and all the rest of the excrement coming out of Capitol Hill. See? We told you it would be a dictatorship! What did YOU think would happen?

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to work in a futile effort to try to pay for Bush's wars and Obamacare. %$^#.

  • In What Way Does This Violate TOS?

Asked by someone a few minutes ago and quickly deleted:

AMERICANS. Regarding 9/11, will you accept my sincere apology on behalf of Israel and Jews everywhere?

We had to do it. It benefited our Zionist cause greatly. You guys would never have supported our genocide of muslims and wars of conquest without it. Sorry to trick you. Please understand. Will you forgive me?

NOTE: I disagree 'Jews everywhere' need to apologize. 9/11 was not about Judiasm.

    Thanks.
