Vegan Wedding in Europe?

I've already asked this in the veggie category, but I want non-veggies to see it, too. My mom's bugging me to start planning this wedding asap. It's sorta scheduled for next summer. We haven't decided if the food will be entirely vegan or not, but one thing is for sure--the cake must be! :-) We have a few locations in mind, and a big part of our choice will be based on the availability of a vegan caterer. Just wondering if anyone has some info or experience with caterers and/or bakers in these locations that could help:

1) Greece (Paros island) - I spend a lot of time here, and I'm familiar with general food options, but not sure if I can find a vegan cake--perhaps bring one from Athens? It's 4-5 hours on the ferry....

2) Prague - Where we'll be living.

3) France (Drome region- Romans-sur-Isere)- My fiance's parents' house in the countryside.

4) Virginia Beach- Where my family's from. Probably not difficult, but not our first choice.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Update:

Thanks for the info on Prague, RowerGirl. The reason we haven't decided on if it'll all be vegan or not is cause my fiance is an omnivore, so we might have some dairy.

If you could get back to me on the name of the bakery in Prague, I'd really appreciate it!

I'm not sure if you're asking just about where to get a cake, or if you're also wondering if it should be all vegan?

Anyway, I used to live in Prague and there's a great English "grocery" store (really, a very tiny one with food you'd find at home) and they have a bakery section. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it but I can get back to you... it's located across from the large water fountain at the end of the outdoor market (where the permanent outdoor art sale is). I'm sure they could make you whatever you want. They're really helpful in there.

If you're also asking about whether to have it all vegan or not (I'm not sure if you were, but here's my two cents anyway!)... I say that if you both are strict vegans and have moral issues against meat, have it vegan! I'm vegetarian and it would be hard for me to be okay with serving meat at my wedding...

    Good luck!

attempt choosing a nutrition topic first like asian, Italian, Indian ect. this might assist you get hold of your menu with extra strategies than a veggie burger. It additionally permits you to have some stylish nutrition and a few extra hearty down domicile dishes so as that every person will sense at domicile. yet another income is that folk would be noticing the subject of the menu and not lots that that's vegan and whilst they found out that they had a brilliant vegan meal it ought to open their eyes to that existence-variety. attempt utilising severe end vegatables like portabello mushrooms made up in an Italian pink sauce with some vegan cheese,or asparagus wraped in a vegan variety crepe and a few yummy pasta. a advantageous filling rice or couscous with saffron, flat bread, and a tofu curry dish might make various human beings happy. you additionally can lookup various hindu indian dishes that are vegitarian. various human beings will think of that they are in simple terms eating Indian nutrition and not vegan in any respect! you additionally can pass asian and have vegi sushi, candy warm mushroom soup, and an stylish stir fry with unique greens. additionally attempt some particularly yummy issues that folk dont get to devour time-honored like a appetizer with kumquats on toast.

my answer to ur menu is both since u r vegan i presume and ur fiance is not i am vegetarian(still eat dairy but no meat) and since he isnt vegan bet his family isnt neither. i do feel kinda upset when i am invited out and there isnt much vegetarian food on the menu when they know i am so i guess the role would be reversed in this case. when i have people over for a meal i always prepare both so they have theyres and i have mine
