Multimedia speaker question......?

Whenever I turn on my computer which includes the speakers, I hear a "buzzing" sound. What does this indicate? Other than that sound, the speakers produce sound normally.

The card could be loose in the slot, the speaker plug may be loose in the speaker jack.

It could be the speakers, plug them into any stereo headphone jack, if they still buzz then one of the speakers may be bad.

Which could be caused by turning the volume up too high, thus blowing out the speakers.

Try to plug the jack way in, or try to look for the "sweet spot" by pulling out or pushing in gently. Of that does not work, try moving the speakers around, it might be picking up distortion from other electrical appliances you have ot try plugging it to a different outlet. Is there still buzzing when you completely pull it out? Try your mobile mp3 player with it just to test.
