Tattoos and PREpregnancy?
hey there!
we've been ttc for going on 2 1/2 years.
we are at the start of a fertility cycle.
i've had an appointment for a while to get my 3rd tattoo this saturday with my best friend.
i know you shouldn't get tattooed while pregant but are there any indications about getting a tattoo and then getting pregnant not long after ( here's to hoping )
i mean, i may not even get pregnant this cycle, but it's a question in my head.
???
wow thank you all so much already!!!!!!!!!
i feel better about it :)

You should be fine as long as it is a clean and well maintained shop. There is always a risk when there are needles going into your skin, but as long as you trust the shop as far as being clean and sterile you will be fine.
I have been trying to conceive for over a year and it hasn't ever stopped me from getting my next tattoo and I haven't had any problems. Best of luck to you on getting pregnant and getting the new tat! :)

Tattooing (in a reputable shop with sterile equpment) is safe before you're pregnant.
Obviously, not a good idea once you are pregnant. This isn't to say pregnant women haven't gotten tattooed and had healthy baby. Babies tend to be very resilient (they've even survived crack), but it's not a risk worth taking.
Best wishes ...

Go ahead. It will be fine. Just make sure its a reputable, clean, and sanitary tattoo shop.
