my cat gave birth last week and the baby died(it was just one baby kitten that came out anyway).?
The thing is, she seems to have more inside her belly right now. I'm not an expert to this but I would just like to know whether the first one came out prematurely and her labor's still ongoing(is that possible) , or is she dying, maybe with dead babies inside her womb(hopefully not)

oxytocin...
my uncle used it on my dog when she gave birth also when only 1 puppy came out. ask your vet about it too...

Cat Milk re-placer is best. If you can not get to the store you can warm up milk from your fridge. You can use old baby bottles if you have any around. If you only have 4 of them they will not need a lot of milk re-placer. half a bottle is fine to warm up at once. If they want more that is best keep giving it to them. Do this 3-4 times a day if you can. If not 2 times a day is still fine if you are busy during the day. make sure you find out what the mom had. clean everything the kittens have just in case. Do NOT use bleach it may hurt the kittens. You don't want to handle the little kittens too much either . They may be cute but you could hurt them without knowing it. This has happened to several people before don't worry about it too much.

Dude take the cat to the vet! You should have taken her in last week after she had even the one. Especially since the other ones didn't come out either. I've had a lot of cats that have had kittens. I've never seen a cat have only 1 and not have the others still a week later. GO TO THE VET!!

Was the baby fully developed as in he had normal body shape, size, and other physical traits?
If yes, then the babies inside her womb are most likely dead... and the mother's life is on the line too.
If the newborn baby was rather tiny and seemed undeveloped, then he was probably a premie.

last week??? labor doesnt last that long- maybe hours, but not a week. if there are babies inside still they are either dead, or like you said that one was a premie possibly....but doubt it. take her to the vet. she can die if there is dead fetus' in her and they are not removed.

Sheesh! Take her to the vet! If there are still kittens in there,the cat will die a horrible death.And get her spayed!

This kitty needs to go the vets asap, she needs to be checked over properly and to check if she is carrying any more. The vets will be able to do an ultrasound on her to see what's going on. I hope she's ok and please make sure you have her spayed after this litter.

you need to take this cat to the vet. they can do xrays to check and see if there are more babies. if there are they can do a c-section or tell you whats up with your cat.
