What are some of the coolest places to go in Washington DC?

Gallery Place: Jaleo (spanish tapas), Zola (trendy place in spy museum), Matchbox (very popular pizza bar)

Capitol Hill / H Street: Granville Moore's (Belgian mussels & frites), Locanda (Penn. Ave. mediteranean)

Georgetown: Hook (seafood... probably best new restaurant in DC)

Downtown: Central (Michel Richard's very excellent bistro)

For Jaleo, Zola, Locanda, Central & Hook, you need a reservation. The others its "first come." Expect your longest wait at Matchbox (up to 90 minutes sometimes), but its worth it and they have excellent bar scene.

Too many good places to eat! You'll know one when you see one, but there are some historic bars on Capital Hill.

Almost all of the restaurants in Dupont Circle and some in Georgetown.

You can go almost anyplace.
