Fix-It ticket: question to officers.?
So on the description of the vehicle the CHP put 07 for the year of the vehicle. my bike is 05. and it is clearly stated on my registration. i got 3-in-1 fix it ticket.
So is the year of the vehicle mistake enough for me to dispute it in the court they appointed it too? or i should not even bother?
If i should dispute it, can i get some pointers on do's and dont's
its a hustle fix-it.
i got to change my exhaust system which will take time and $$$

It really doesn't matter about the year. If you went to court to dispute it, you'd still have the equipment violations to take care of, and you'd probably piss the judge off for wasting the courts time.
Just fix the problems, get them signed off and that will be the end of it.

If the only mistake was the year of the bike...i would say don't even bother. What are you going to dipute...the officer wrote down the wrong year? Doesnt have anything to do with your violations. It is just a fix it ticket anyway.

Not a good enough reason to dispute it, but ITS A FIX IT TICKET!! You don't even have to pay anything or go to court. Act like an adult, fix whats wrong with your bike, and stop trying to weasel out of your responsibilities.

Put yourself in the place of the judge hearing your case. Would a incorrect year on a ticket be enough for you to dismiss a case where the voilations were obviously there?
I'd say don't bother.
