Why are some people still so racist?

Normal person here, I just have to say AMEN. People will always hate, fear, or envy other people for the dumbest reasons. I am with you on the last part. I think that all racists should go find their own pathetic land and leave people who actually use their brain to live in peace.

Who know's. I live in WV, My Grandfather was extremly racist. He would tell me stories of actually shooting black people. My father was not racist. I seen the N word written on a bathroom stall once when I was a toddler, came home and asked what it meant and got my @ss beat. I am not racist in the least. I dont see n!ggers, niggas, african americans, or black people. I just see people. And this is what I have taught my kidds. I never knew anyone of a differnet race untill joining the military. My first roommates where 1 airab, and a guy from the bronx's. I got along with everyone then and get along with everyone now. I have only ever HATED one guy in my life and he was white.

Perhaps my kidds will not have to teach their kidds anything. Perhaps by this time there will not be any hate or racisim. I know its unlikely, but "I have a dream"

Why are you limitting racism as just a white person thing? I'm not racist by any means and all racism really irks me. What bothers me most though is for some reason most people seem to identify racism as white people against the world! Uh no.... white people are guilty we all know that, but so are black people. Families have disowned children who married white or asian people. That's pretty racist. Asian cultures, Indian, Middle Eastern we're all guilty of it. It's all wrong.

Why are people racist? I cant explain. My father is pretty racist. Not like they don't deserve rights racist, but more like, he doesn't want a black president on principal, and if I married someone black or hispanic he'd flip a lid. Why? I think honestly it's because he's afraid. He thinks that they are culturally different. It's hard for him to associate with people who have been raised with different ideas and morals than him so he tries to stray as far away from the culture. He freaked when I dated a guy from India, and was afraid if we got married it would fail because we were raised differently. To me that's fear.

I gotta say in America black and hispanic communities are often not doing so well. With about a third of the black population (yes this is a real statistic) having spent time in jail, and the greatest recipients of social aid being black or hispanic, they're just fueling the fire. I have to say everywhere else in the world I don't see this problem. I think America is just a particularly lazy society!

I respect upstanding, intelligent people of any race. I disrepect trash of any race as well, black, white, asian, I don't care. If you don't try, (I'm excluding those that are down on their luck), if you just waste your life you don't deserve respect.

Racism is stupid. However we have to understand that sometimes reverse racism is worse. When people pull the racist card because someone doesn't respect them specifically it's wrong. When I hate bums of any color, but if I say that to a black person I'm suddenly racist, that's wrong too.

We as a society (world-wide) just need to grow up!

it's environment usually.

they don't work or live among others much and anyone different is regarded as wrong or weird. it's not just race. it's class, style and culture. beliefs, music tastes and hobbies. if you're not in a diverse area, anything different will seem.....different.

i live by the beach. in my social circle most of my friends are surfers, medium income, laid back and are heterosexual. white, christian and politically neutral.

now some are volleyball players, black, mexican, impoverished and wealthy. a-types and slackers, homosexual and anti-homosexual. democrat, republican, jewish. but i wouldn't call it a fair mix. most of my crowd is from the first group.

the reason my associations are secluded is because birds of a feather flock together. shall i befriend someone i have nothing in common with just to have a token? my friends usually are my friends because we recreate the same way. i don't dislike my friends that hate the water, but i don't hang with them much because they get sea-sick. i can't usually go to those all night loud parties because i'm a mommy and i'm home at a decent hour. has nothing to do with not accepting those folks. i'm just in a different orbit. not better, just different.

Because some people were just simply taught that their race is better.

I usually starts with noticing their are different races.

Then you get pride for your race.

Then you notice other races/ethnicities are different from yours.

Then you judge them for being different.

Then the more extreme feel hatred towards that race/ethnicity

Then you seek to exterminate those who are different to leave your race the "supreme one"

Usually people stop at the 3rd one, but the you see the pattern on where racism starts from.

i think its based on how your parents raised you from a young age.

even if someones parents didn't raise them saying someone of a different color is under them, if a kid sees thier parents treat a different race different or badly, they are going to do the same.

but when people acually have very racist parents who brain wash thier brains like thiers where brain washed. kids beleive everything thier parents say ( like santa)

it all goes back to when slaves first came, and that metality has been passed down for genereations. of course many people have gotten wise by now, but not all

Ignorance.

Wow. it truly is definitely intense. people in basic terms presume that your profile photo is meant to to look equivalent to you. i understand precisely the way you experience. My issue is vice versa, i take advantage of white profile pictures many times yet i'm really black. they are both utilising straightforward experience and are not thinking this function or are randomly guessing.

Racists Are:

White people dont like Black people becasue they were born black

Black people dont like White people because of hisotric relations and today

White people dont like Asian people because they are asian

Asian people dont like Black people because they fall for all the stereotypes about us
