Your thoughts on terrorists...?

If a muslim or somebody who looked like they could be a muslim i.e. erm...asian (sorry about the stereotype!) sat next to you on the tube/bus with a big bag? Would you:

a) fail to notice/care

b) think about it and tell yourself that you are wrong and bad for thinking bad thoughts and that not all muslims are terrorists and stay put.

c) get the hell out of there...

Update:

Erm...Part Time Cynic - if you choose not to sit next to a priest because he may be a paedophile that's completely up to you, I'm talking about running for your life because someone might have enough explosives to blow up a large building in his bag - a little more pressing don't you think?

Update 2:

Plz_Tell... - was that a, b or c then?

My answer is "C" (sorry but that is what I would do and I would be correct to do it). I might add that it would be the correct decision for a Muslim passenger to make as well.

    D) use my gut instinct to decide whether they are terrorist. Muslim does NOT = Terrorist

I think most people are pretty good about reading people. If the person looked shifty and super nervous then I would probably get out of there and report him to a cop, if he just looked like a foreigner with a suitcase or bag I don't think I would run away screaming like a nut job.

Of course in my area there is a lot of diversity in the population. If I lived in Israel and was on the bus, that might be another story....

    It's a serious question I never thought.

Let me give you some background. I come from India, a place, which is easily the most vulnerable and often targeted in the world. As a young guy, we were told not to give rides ('lifts' as they call it) to strangers. Do not pick up anything that is not yours. Do not leave your luggage unattended. keep your eye open for suspicious things.

Terrorists look ordinary, very ordinary common people out there.

Like this guy involved in last months Delhi bombings, looked like any ordinary guy out to buy grocery. leaves a plastic bag in a trash can and goes away! Now would you catch anyone who throws trash? another bomb in another city went off in a busy marketplace, the wounded rushed to a hospital only to find a bomb goes off there too ( a crowd was already there to inquire about the injured).

Senseless violence is unethical and immoral by any and every standard. This should be clear. (the only solution)

The main aim of these terrorists is to instill fear and paranoia. That is what they want! They win if you let them (even without setting off a single bomb).

So the final answer: Let the experts guide you to what is right.

This is the Islamic rule for war and all miltary action in the sunnah ( the book in which all ismalic rules are written and has been written for almost 2000 years)

During his life, Muhammad (PBUH) gave various injunctions to his forces and adopted practices toward the conduct of war. The most important of these were summarized by Muhammad's (Peace be upon him) companion, Abu Bakr, in the form of ten rules for the Muslim army

“ Stop, O people, that I may give you ten rules for your guidance in the battlefield. Do not commit treachery or deviate from the right path. You must not mutilate dead bodies. Neither kill a child, nor a woman, nor an aged man. Bring no harm to the trees, nor burn them with fire, especially those which are fruitful. Slay not any of the enemy's flock, save for your food. You are likely to pass by people who have devoted their lives to monastic services; leave them alone.

SOO STOP CALLING THEM MUSLIMS THEY ARE POOR PEOPLE THAT ARE UNEDUCATED AND CAN BE SWAYED BY SMART AND EVIL PEOPLE LIKE OSAMA
