Hmmm. Critique. Well, I think most people aren't for it, but there isn't much we can do about it other than try to instill basic morals and education about unwanted pregnancies, not to mention the skyrocketing risk of STD's among teens. There was teen pregnancy when I was a teen, there were teen pregnancies before I was born and there will be teen pregnancies after I'm dead. Now if you're truly asking if I feel that the pregnant girls should be publicly ostracized, no. Teen girls wouldn't get pregnant if there weren't dic-s, uh, boys to get them pregnant. So boys need to be educated to control their urges no matter how raging. Boys and men always claim to be strong, but when they want to justify their biological weaknesses, excuses fly like birds. So, because boys want what they want, regardless of the lifelong consequences, and as long as there are girls willing to give it to them, there will always be teen mothers and fathers.

    Okay, here goes :/

Teenage pregnancy makes us all look bad (I'm 16, and would never take the chance of getting pregnant). But all I really can say is whatever, it's their life, and they're now tied down at a very young age. What I do not approve of is young girls getting pregnant, and then using abortion as a sort of birth control. Teenage pregnancy is usually the result of carelessness and spur of the moment sex. How hard is it, really, just to buy some condoms. $5 at the store, or $11000 for the first year of parenting?

It is really funny when they are devout Christians and raised by a governor.... I won't get started on that one.

Teen pregnancy creates too much unnessacery hardship on everyone involved, and when you're young, you have alot more people involved. It puts stress on the financial systems (Medicaid, welfare, food stamps, etc) and the schools, the entire planet.

If you're going to have sex, you need to A) be ready to financially support a baby or B) know as much as there is to know about birth control and put that into practice each and every time. It only takes one time.

I think teen pregnancy has gotten so out of hand that it's accepted and glorified... Jamie Lynn Spears anyone?????

Not advisable. A teen girl may believe that things will go on the same, but she couldn't be more wrong. She will become a totally different person. Even women mature enough to become mothers experience this. You won't even see it coming until it's happened.

as a 23 year old who has yet to be (or WANT to be ) pregnant , i can honestly say i have no idea how kids can handle taking care of babies at such a young age. im enjoying having the only responsibility of taking care of ME, i get to spend all my money on ME, i have saved up 7 thousand dollars over the past couple of years and even invested money towards my retirement (2 thousand dollars) . i can honestly tell you i would have no idea what to do with a baby at my age, and im soooo happy i decided to go on the pill at age 15 and have yet to come off it. i can go out when i want, do what i want whenever i want. i love it. babies? no thank you!! ill just keep my freedom and money thanks ;)

in my opinion if a teenager is pregnant because they couldnt be bothered to use protection then they should feel ashamed, however there are some teenagers who feel ready to have kids at a young age, and they cope, sometimes better than ppl who have had a 'life' before babies, as they dont know what it is like to be able to spend money on themselves, and do what they want when they want to.
