Ideas for my Halloween Party.?

I love questions like this :)

Decorations

*Put trashbags over the windows. it'll look cool. and maybe spell something on them with orange/red paint.

*Put orange and black streamers everywear. (may it look cool)

* no stupid tacky things like dead skeletons

*Get a strobe light. and have it going. It is super cool, that is what my friend did at her party.

Activies

*To me, i think there should be some sort of scavenger hunt or something. Like you have a certain room in your house and you lock it, and you tell everyone to find the key. and every once in awhile you give them clues to where to find it. And behind the door there is something that they all want. Like...umm...idk, but i am sure you can think of something

*Have people dance and stuff...turn on The ChaCha Slide, and/or Cupids Shuffle

*Watch the movie AMERICAN HAUNTING it is so scary because it is a TRUE STORY about a girl that has a real ghost in her house. takes place in the 18 or 1900s. the ghost picks her up by her hair and starts slapping her in her face....scary! my friend started crying!

*Watch the movie HALLOWEEN. i havent watched it but from what i have heard, it is one of the scariest movies out there.

And when i think that you should get bing-bag chairs for everyone. because bing-bag chairs are just alot cooler than sitting on the couch :)

*Spin the Bottle truth or dare

*Have a shaving cream fight! fill balloons with shaving cream (make sure you have ALOT of balloons because they go fast) and just have people throw them at each other (outside of course). it is so much fun and so much better than water balloons!

Food

* CUpcakes that are designed like pumpkins

* PUnch in the color of blood

* Rotel Cheese DIp

well, so it wont be too " scheduled" , do a few things at the same time. Like in one room, put scary movies. and outside you could build a crawling haunted house, like with the fake spider web, glow in the darks scary masks that you could past on, i helped my friend build it on her deck and it was easy, just like a maze. And then hire a DJ or something and put music.As for food, just buy candy..that's what Halloween is all about! also you could put out different chips and cookies and sodas and stuff. and for games, nothing childish. what about the classic bobbing for apples or carving pumpkins? movies? well theres The messengers, Scream, When a stranger calls, Disturbia, Halloween, and much more! just go to Blockbuster or something. Music, doesn't have to be halloween-ish, just any music.

- A little horror movie trivia?

- Make a play list of 'Halloween' songs -- either creepy ones or funny ones.

- Movies: Fright Night, the first Friday the 13th, Heathers, Nightmare before Christmas, are all spooky without being too gross

- Get some black light bulbs for decorations. They make white fabric really glow so they work really well with fake spiderwebs. You can get the bulbs at a party supply place, but be careful, they get really hot.

Halloween once in a year event....

if i were u i would given a big costume party with alot of food and drinks and music put some scary stuff on my door scare the **** out of first 2 friends that come to the party by chucking a FAKE KNIFE at em..... then after eating and everything Play some horror song on my guitar with my friedns...

After that go out at around 12:00 and scare lil kids hehe

then go trick or treating (im too old for it but i'll stilll go)

After that take some pics with friends

after gettin tired of walking and talking find some kid and give all my candy to tht kid soo he'll never forget the CANDY GHOST!

And then talk about it whole year :D

First off, MUSIC! I have several hours worth of Halloween songs. They include tv show themes (Adams Family, Munsters), 'classics' (Monster Mash, Flying Purple Ppl Eater), & some unexpected ones (Black Magic Woman, Witchcraft). I mix in sound effects between songs and it really sets a mood. Decor; decorate the place with webs and skulls. Buy a dvd or video game with spooky effects. If you can, block off a room and fill it with black lights. Be sure to have a rocking table setup or foods. For foods I love the kitty box idea. I use vanilla granola and mini candy bars. Bake it about 5 minutes, just long enough to melt the candy so it looks a little runny and the granola sticks to it. Cut cheese sticks (Mozarella), make slices to look like knuckles, and use pieces of green pepper or sliced almonds as finger nails. Sliced apples drizzled with caramel. And of course the usual chips & dips, veggie plates, etc. We always make trick or treating the center activity but if you dont have kids theres always costume contest, movie marathons, and drinking games. Have fun!
