lots of seeds in cranberry sauce--why?
Our fresh cranberry sauce--made from Ocean Spray cranberries--came out with lots and lots of tiny seeds throughout it. This has never happened in many, many years of making this exact same sauce. Any clues as to why this might be?

Strange. My cranberry sauce always has small seeds. I make it from cranberries also, but I've become accustomed to the tiny seeds and it's like eating a strawberry. I don't think about it.
Did you cook it as long as in the past?

It has got to be the cranberries. I have been making cranberry sauce for years too and I have never had the problem. You can strain the sauce to get rid of the seeds it you don't like them, it won't be the same but it will be better than nothing.

that's weird,, usually when i make cranberry sauce it always has seeds in it(also why i don't prefer cranberry, but i make it for my family) maybe ocean spray has changed their way of doing things... sorry for the inconvenience have a great thanksgiving!!!!

because the economy is having good companies like Ocean Spray to start reassessing how many seeds are in the jar of cranberry sauce; ie: they are adding more seeds to help their bottom line; ie: ripping off customers slightly although not a good business practice in the long run, it'll help this year's bottom line just to help them get over this economic slump that we're in.

I have the exact same problem for the second time with ocean spray since 2 year. Before it was ok!
