How to "tag" someone on Facebook?

Question

I just did one of those quizzes on Facebook where it tells you to "tag" 25 people and then send the message.  I don't know what they mean by "tag."  Please give as much detail in your answer as possible, as I am rubbish at figuring this stuff out on my own.  Thanks!

To 'tag' them it means to select the friends you want to send the link for the quiz - it's just advertising. If you do want to send a friend the quiz, scroll down until you find them and then select the box above their profile picture. However, most people can't be bothered (like me) so I just press the 'skip' button at the bottom of the page!

Click on your NOTES.  Then click WRITE A NOTE.  You can then add a title and then type your quiz in the body.  For example 25 random things about me quiz.  Then it asks you on the right hand side "tag people in this note" and you can start typing your friends names.  Then Publish.

It just took me awhile to figure this out since someone tagged me in this quiz.  I had to go all the way back to my notes, then hit write a note to figure this one out!

Most of the time there is a skip button so that you can just skip sending the quiz to your friends which is a huge pain and go on to your quiz results.

They are asking you to click on one of your friends, I usually click  "skip".  Once you click  on a friend the quiz is sent to them.
