Escribes and escribís are both correct.

But escribis is mostly used in South America. (Vos Escribís)

Escribes like in (TU ESCRIBES)... is most commonly used in Latin America and Spain

    There's two answers for that:

    1) The one you've already been given. In places like Argentina, instead of saying "tú escribes", they say "vos escribís". They're both correct.

    2) You are talking about the TÚ form and the VOSOTROS form. See below:

Present tense of the verb "escribir"

    Yo escribo

    TÚ ESCRIBES

    Él escribe

    Nosotros escribimos

    VOSOTROS ESCRIBÍS / Ustedes escriben

    Ellos escriben

    Again, both forms are correct.

I found out a music to the song of "Ten Little Indians" for the roots. (those are of their "yo" sort) Tuve, estuve dije, puse hice, pude di y fui supe, quise vi y vine todos irregulares As for the regulars, I basically had to keep in mind the endings, sorry :/
