Certified Internal Auditor?
Is there an Institute of Internal Auditors' (IIA) member here or a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Please help me get the latest Practice Advisories (2009). I'm trying to download it from the IIA website but it is available for members only. Kindly send it to my e - mail. You may want to compress it through Zip to save space. Thanks.

I think having your CIA will help a great deal if you are looking to enter the work force as an internal auditor. I worked for a major oil and gas company right out of college and I got placed in internal audit. I did a lot of operational type audits and although I had an accounting degree I didn't think it was a necessary requirement once I got on the job. Also, I noticed that the IA group was always looking to bring people in who had knowledge in other areas. So if you use you current degree to get an entry level job with a company I would think that you would still have a shot to move into Internal Audit as you would bring some knowledge of the business to the group which is always helpful.
