Help with knifehand breaking technique.?

I am due to test soon for my green belt (sixth kup) in WTF taekwondo. My breaking technique is a knifehand. I had no problem with my previous three breaks (hammerfist, palm-heel, and elbow), but for some reason, I am not able to break a rebreakable board with a knifehand. I was hoping to get some advice from more experienced artists, particularly those who have breaking experience, on how to perfect my break.

1 - Speed. You hve to go at this one with all the speed you can muster. If you pull up at all, you may not make it through the board.

2 - Location. Center of the board, with the hand parallel to the ground if the board is being held vertically, perpendicular to the ground if the board is supported horizontally. If the hand is not straight, you do not get the full force of the blow through impact.

3 - Technique. Use the ridge of the hand between the top of the wrist and the bottom of the fingers. Do not get the fingers involved in the break, or they will be the only things that get broken (saw it happen last month at a 2nd Dan test).

4 - Speed. did I say this one already? Very important. DO NOT PULL UP.

5 - Confidence. Visualize te break BEFORE you go. Convince yourself that you can do it, and that it won't hurt. If you execute properly, it won't hurt. If you doubt yourself, you will pull up at the wrong moment, and it will hurt...probably a lot.

Find a point far beyond the board. Most people concentrate on the point of impact. Imagine the object you want to break is farther than the object being broken.

What part of your hand did you use before? Strike only with the edge(no fingers,of course),more of the area of the heel of your hand.Turn hand inward so it is at a 45 degree angle to what is to be going through, always aim beyond target.

just move fast and strong, nothing too technical here. so a big explanation wont help... I did board breaking as well. it was fun. Use the side of the palm, below the wrist, but not the fingers. youll do fine!
