How do you make friends in college?

I used to just sit next to random people in class and start talking to them. If there are empty seats by themselves don't sit there, go sit right next to someone. Then say something random like "whad you get for number 5 on the homework?" or if it's Friday ask "So you have any good plans for the weekend?" People were always friendly back to me and sometimes they will say like yea, there's this party if you want to come or something like that. I met tons of friends that way. Even if you don't party or whatever, chat them up and then ask if they want to study together or meet in the dining hall for dinner for something like that. Oh and don't forget right at the beginning of the convesation to say I'm (kim) by the way, whats your name?

Join some clubs. i.e. Karate Club, Science Fiction Bookclub, Student Government, Pep Band, Allies etc. . . There are so many different groups out there on campus you should be able to find something you're interested in, where you can meet potential friends.
