suffering from ADHD, need help.?

Hi, I have ADHD. I find it hard to prioritize my tasks. I am trying to juggle school and setting up appointments to go to school 9getting funding so its a longer prosess). I am on Aderall XR low dose 10 mg for a few weeks and my dr. think I should stay on this for a while as i had adverse side effects to Strattera I took in the past. i am still having the ADHD symtoms come up, same like clock work, I get fairly motivated in the beginning., but still have the flaws of making mistakes in my work. I am fairly focused sometime throughtout the day then wears off. I stil get frusterated when i have to do the work over again, that i leave the class then you know? So i see it messing up with getting my work done. Also i am waiting on calls because people descide to call me days after i left a message or sometimes quick and i only have a cell phone and i don't get reception in some areas of the school. if i take time off from school i forget what i've leared. What would you do if you were in my situation?

Hi, I actually have ADHD too and I have also tried Strattera which gave me bad side effects. Gross. Currently I take Ritalin, which I think is a fairly common medication for ADHD and ADD. Instead of getting frustrated when you do the work over again, just take a deep breath and relax for a moment. You probably didn't mess all of your work up, and just need correct a few mistakes. You may also need to be on a higher dose or take two throughout the day (ask your doctor seeing how I am not a professional) If you take time off of school and you forget what you've learned, try to make some notes in class or when you have the time. Also you can call a friend or someone in those classes and ask for a quick recap of what you recently learned. But before you take more medication than your doctor already said ASK THEM D: uping your dose without consulting your doctor can be dangerous( I don't mean to nag) GL with your ADHD hope I may have helped in a small way.
