Is Windows Xp better then Windows Vista?

I have a xp right now but it's 2 years old it still runs fast but the problem is whenever i go to like google earth or something my computer crashes not the blue screen crash but like...just freezes makes a bunch of lines all over the screen and makes a loud sound.it gets onto my nervous because when im doing something important i have to start over.. so i am buying a new computer and i was wonder which one was better. and if you can help me with my other question ill make yours the best question :)! Thanks!

    You should wait till October to buy a new computer, because at that point Windows 7 will come out. Windows 7 currently looks to be a very good upgrade over both of the mention windows.

    I also agree that linux is a very good free alternative, but it maybe difficult to accustom to depending on your level of computer knowledge.

    These people are all biased. People freaked out back then when they heard of Window's XP's requirements. And they are doing the same with windows vista. Vista is great. Just make sure it's 64bit so you can get more than 4gb of your system's overall RAM because it requires more RAM to function well.

    I think XP is much better. runs faster if the hardwares the same. try running glaryutilities on your machine or check your video cards drivers for updates.

    Of course it is. But it is still windows. Now I use DreamLinux. Guess what it is free.
