Go to Control Panel and click on Sound. A window will pop up, and click on Speakers and Dual Headphones. Go to Configure and another window will pop up. Under Controller Information, click on Properties. And another window will pop up. Click on Change Settings and type the password if you're a Standard User. Click on the Driver tab. Notice if you have the Update Driver or Roll back Driver. If Update Driver is available, click on it. But if the Roll back Driver is available click on it. The process takes about a couple of minutes, after which a restart is required. Just follow what it instructs you to do. After a successful restart, your notebook should be able to play sounds from the speakers. I experienced the same thing before because I have the same notebook as you.
