Not a good idea. Soft-shelled turtles seem to be wearing a sign that says, "Bite me". It is also possible for the softie to retaliate.

Bad Idea. Your soft shelled turtle would be in big trouble.

again i think its a bad idea to mix these species together, the soft skin of the softie will be prone to scratching by the RES claws, the softies dont mix to well with other turtles, even of the same species,

A long story short, the answer is "no." They both require different living situations, and the RES will most likely be aggressive.
