loose steering columb, how do you access the bolts to tighten them?
1987 1500 GMC truck with tilt wheel. I'm looking for a web sight that can show an illustrated parts break down for column disassembly and repair. I need to tighten the three bolts inside the column, any help would be appreciated.
The two answers provided do not address my need, a web site location would really be of some help. I've had a lot of columns apart but not to the extent of these bolts.more information please

If you were to remove the steering wheel it may be possible to reach 2 of the torqx head bolts with a long extension.It's been quite a while since I've done that.But it's one of those common sense repairs that looks really difficult but isn't that horrible once started.I don't know that a guide would help that much.

The bolts are deep in the column. If you don't know how, it would be best to find some who does to help you.
