Help on different kinds of cancer with their stages and life expectancyy?

You see... I'm writing a story for my project here. And I need to find a disease that suits my story.

It's about a girl who found out on her yearly check up that she has some kind of disease and only has 1 month left. She didn't take therapy or anything. Then even though she had that disease she still wasn't weak and she could do physical activities.

OKAY..:D so that's the small part of the story. So please if you could help me on finding a disease or something for that story.. Please Help!!

I know it's a bit confusing...but I really need help.

And what stage of that disease can let you live for about 2-3 months..

It's going to depend on a lot of things, including whether or not she goes into remission. Also, what type of cancer is it? I have Stage 3 colon cancer now, and it's one of the more treatable types of cancer. If it were pancreatic cancer, it would pretty much be a death sentence, but in my case there's about an 80% cure rate if treated aggressively. Also, how soon did they catch it? Stage 1 of colon cancer means it hasn't even invaded the wall of the colon yet, but stage 4 means not only has it invaded the wall and lymph nodes, it's also spread to other organs. And how well was it treated? I had surgery to remove part of my colon 1 1/2 weeks ago, and I'm going in for chemo in about 3 weeks. I'm going to do everything I can to fight, but some people just give up and say, "Oh well, I guess it's no use." Which of us has better odds?

There is no terminal disease or condition that will cause death in a month and still allow the person enough strength to remain physically active.

Once someone is terminal their body starts to shut down.

Organs stop functionally at the fullest capacity.

This means the body can no longer support basic life support functions without some support.

People with "1 month left" are REALLY REALLY sick people.

Life is not like the movies. Terminally ill people don't prance around ticking off items on their bucket list then just not wake up one day.

Find another topic to write about ... one that you know something about.

Thats difficult. I would think it would be very rare to have a terminal illness with 2-3months to live and still be able to do physical activities and not be weak, I can't think of one- sorry.

    BUT...

If you ever want to succeed as a writer, the number one rule is to never, ever, ever write about something you do not already know all about, because eventually someone who DOES know all about it will see it and call you out on it....
