Did anyone else think that Paranormal Activity was a horrible movie?

I just really expected to be on the edge of my seat the whole time after watching all of the hyped up previews. I was honestly bored throught most of the movie. It had potential but I definately dont think it fully lived up to it.

Yeah. I think the hype completely ruined it for me.

I was expecting to be scared out of my wits and not be able to sleep for years.

I'm really no more scared of walking around a dark room at night then I am normally..

The characters really pissed me off. They were annoying and sometimes had the stupidest ideas I have ever seen in a horror movie. And the movie was slow and uneventful most of the time.

A couple of the scenes were pretty creepy in my opinion, but they started to get repetitive and slow.

Don't get me wrong. The shadow on the door and the footprints were pretty cool, but it just seemed like a sloppy attempt to make another Blair Witch Project.

It was definately NOT the scariest movie to date.

My boyfriend and I JUST got back from seeing it. Okay, if you want to save a few bucks just go to YOUTUBE and search ghosts so you can watch those videos where those faces pop into the screen and startle you a bit. I mean, yes the movie was scary but that was because I did not know for sure if the movie was fiction or not. It ended pretty crazy too. It was a good movie....well for a low budget film...not the kind of movies I'm used ot seeing in the movies.

It was just kind of like those "A Haunting" shows on the discovery channel. Only on steroids... Kind of boring but I thought it was ok, there have been better ones. Ones with more of a plot and purpose.

really? i was fine until like 3/4 of the way through..after that i was so scared. the end was horrifying..but it wasnt the acting, or events that made me so scared it was the way the movie was presented. I say that people should see it..but if u dont see it in theaters dont watch it on DVD..i for one do NOT want that movie in my house!

I don't think I would say its a horrible movie. But I was expecting it to be a little scarier based on what everyone was saying about it.

Yes! I completely agree. It's nice to finally hear someone else who thought the same thing I did. I don't understand why people are making such a big deal out of it.

It's not the most scariest movie ever. But it was a very well made film. So much better than that crappy blair witch movie. But it is pretty scary in my opinion.

Not to be mean, but what the hell are you talking about. The movie was intense. I was on the edge of my seat watching it.

the last fifteen minutes were pretty good.

but the first hour or so was so boring.

it definitely made me regret spending 7 dollars.

People's attention spans are awful short these days. If there isn't an explosion at least once every 10 minutes then a movie is slow and boring!
