Not to worry, it's just a noise that geldings tend to make. It's a noise caused by their "man-parts" and sweat, no problem. It happens in most geldings at one point or another, but never to mares. Not sure if it happens to stallions or not though!

    Been there, heard that!

When you have a gelding they make these funny noises. When there sheaths (penis) is dirty it makes tis funny/odd sound that you are describing as sounding like a bull frog. What you need to do is have it cleaned or clean it yourself. After a while the dirt builds up and so does the smegma. It is a gross job but it needs to be done. Don't ask me how it makes that noise but it does.

My gelding made the same noise and at shows people would stare at me because my gelding was making this strange noise. Then my barn held this "sheath cleaning clinic" and after that there was no more noise for about a month and then it was back. So I cleaned it again and it went away.

Google "sheath cleaning" and there is good information sites on it. Your vet will even clean it for you.

I don't know if it is true or not but supposedly if not clean the smegma can become cancerous. Don't freak because I'm not 100% sure this is at all true.

Julies right. I'd give her a thumb but I'm not mature enough to hand out thumbs yet.. hehe...

"Bull frog caught in a pipe"..... hehehe. that made me laugh out loud LOL.

It's just air caught up in his sheath. As he jiggles around his male parts when he moves it squishes the air around. Much like a young boy making fart noises in his armpit with his hands. Not to worry !!!

    Edit---

It CAN mean their sheath needs cleaned, but not always. Even clean sheaths squeak sometimes. It's mostly just an air thing.

The noise is caused by the horse's sheath. You can try cleaning it, but sometimes that doesn't work. It is something you just have to live with.
