No he was not. I check on IMDB and he is not listed in the cast.

He(Gerard Butler) wasn't in "Walk The Line".
EDIT: Wikipedia? The site that ANYONE can go on and post whatever info they want? The same source that had Jeff Goldblum, comedian Sinbad, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks, Miley Cyrus, and thousands of others reportedly dead at various times? I think I'll stick to imdb.com and my own eyes , thank you......

No Ive seen that movie more times then I can count. My Favorite. He wasnt in there I assure you.
