how can i find out what the brands on my horse mean?

In NSW , i have a TB with brandings on the both shoulders

how can i find out his heritage ?

i dont know his racing name or anything all i have is RB/v on nr side

and 46/3 on the off side

    The other answer is correct. He is the 46th horse foaled in the yr 2003 or 1993 at the stud represented by the brand on his near side shoulder. My best advice as to finding out further information would be to contact the australian studbook or have a look at the website http://www.studbook.org.au/ Another clue as to his identity would be to check his lip for a tatoo identification number, which you can than type into their database for some basic info.     RB/v will be what the stud farm he was bred on.

    I dont know what stud farm it is, you may had to ask around some thorughbred breeders or look online to see if you can figure it out.

    46/3 means he was the 46th foal in 1993 / 2003 to be born at that stud farm.
