Do two rh negative parents always have rh negative children?

I am rh negative, and so is my husband. I understand that this is a pretty rare situation for BOTH parents to be rh negative. We have three children, and I have always assumed that they, too, were rh negative. Is this necessarily so? Just curious.

yup.. Unless you had to get a shot of rhogam after giving birth to any of your children they should all be rh- like you & the father.. I'm also rh- & after giving birth to my daughter I had to get a shot of rhogam bcuz she was rh+ I'm guessing her sperm donor was rh+ also....

No. 6-8% of babies will be RH positive if both parents are RH negative. The reason why the percentage varies is because different studies got different results.

Your other posters just keep posting the same wrong information. DNA studies proved this to be true and it's been in several journals. Humans do not follow Mendelian genetics. The thing is, it just isn't common for 2 RH negative people to get together.

I think it's all in the genes. If a parent has Rh negative blood, there's a chance the baby will. My dad is O positive and my mom is O negative. My brother and I both ended up being O negative. I wouldn't say that Rh negative is dominant though because my husband who is A positive has 2 babies with me and they are O positive. Got the O from me and the positive Rh factor from him.

yes, rh negative is a recessive gene, so if you are both rh negative, then your children would have to be rh negative as well. about 35% of the population is rh negative, so its not that rare for both parents to have it.

when the parents are Rh - their kids 100% will have Rh- blood group, and this is basic in Genetics because Rh- is recessive (rhrh),and becarefull when ur kids needs blood transfusion ,they must get it from Rh- blood ,and the parents can help in this ocasion.

Infertility, like any disease, is simply a sign that something is not right inside the body and must be fixed. How to reverse infertility https://tr.im/Ya4fv

I have worked with a lot of women on this issue, and have seen very few health related problems that cause such pain and anxiety as wanting to have a child and not being able to. The good news is that all the women who I have worked with who have changed diet and lifestyle factors have eventually conceived.
