Why Do People Assume Blizzard Beach Is Better?

Ive been to Blizzard Beach once and I wasnt all that impressed. I was super siked to do the hang gliding into the water in the "Teen Training Camp" and I was wicked pissed off when I found out that I couldn't go on because I was 5'4" at the time, and you had to be under 5 feet. I was 13 at the time, and it really pissed me off that not only could I not only use the kiddy park, but I couldnt use the TEEN park. The wave pool I had to admit was very fun with the floats, but overall, the park didn't impress me. The biggest attraction there, the one with the vertical drop, wasn't even fun. It was more like a wedgie up the butt & a 30 minute wait. I much rather go to Typhoon Lagoon where I can go on Crush and Gusher & Swim with the sharks. 

So my main question is, why do so many people recommend Blizzard Beach?
And what's your favorite Disney Water Park?

You're right that mostly everyone says Blizzard Beach is better. I don't understand it either. I guess it's because everyone thinks Summit Plummet is so great. My daughter had the same trouble as you did. we like typhoon Lagoon better. We're big Disney fans, but when it comes to water parks, we actually like Aquatica best.

I haven't been to Blizzard Beach since 2000. And I was six at the time. I love Typhoon Lagoon! The best water park ever! The wave pool is the best on Eath. I went a few weeks ago. The wave pool pushes everything out of the way. I was being stepped on and kicked. And the Shark Reef is amazing. Typhoon Lagoon is the best in opinion. Great rides and everything.

I usually go to Blizzard Beach when I go to WDW. Last time I went to WDW (last week), I went to Typhoon Lagoon instead. The Crush 'n' Gusher was pretty fun, but it was really short. I LOVED the wave pool, that was sick. I'm terrified of sharks so I would never swim with them. Typhoon Lagoon just seemed kind of small. In my opinion, Blizzard Beach is a whole lot better. I guess I like the feeling of the Winter Wonderland.

I'm not assuming anything. We've been to both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. TL was boring. The kiddie area is absolutely horrible. The "swimming with the sharks", what a lame joke. You float on the surface for about 90 seconds then have to get out.  The family raft ride was fun, but you need 2-3 adults to carry the big family sized raft. The waves in the wave pool are so strong that it is not safe for young children or really anyone who isn't a strong swimmer. The theming is beautiful but it really isn't the park for families with young kids or thill seeking teenagers. It is really more for adults that do not want thrill rides IMHO.

BB on the other hand has something for everyone. There are 2 kiddie areas, one for little kids and one for pre-teens. There is not a section for teens as you claim.  If you mean Ski Patrol Training Camp it is a preteen section of BB. It is meant for ages 8-12. The family raft ride is faimly friendly because you don't have to carry your own family sized float. It is also the world's longest family raft ride.

ETA: The only one in our family that prefers TL was my husband and that is because the only thing he rides is the lazy river and the one at TL offers lots of shade.

A lot of the family rides are fun, and the slides are good. The lazy river is also great.
Just my opinion. Also why is Typhoon Lagoon called that when there aren't Typhoons in Florida?

i personally like blizzard beach but if you wanna try something new go to Coco key resort,Aquatica,or wet n wild.

I think hey already have experienced on Blizzard Beach that is why they can say that it is better compare to other beaches. That is all their opinion.
