Friends vs. Rules of Engagement?
I'm a huge "Friends" fan and have been watching "Rules of Engagement" from the beginning. "Rules", for those who don't know, features five people: a married couple, engaged couple, and single guy.
Anyway, for those who watch(ed) both shows, have you ever noticed the similarities in some of the storylines? For example:
- Jeff doesn't like food getting taken off of his plate (JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD!)
- Adam once carried around a bag that looked like a purse (again, Joey)
- Jennifer wanted to have sex with Adam when she was sick (Monica and Chandler, respectively)
- Jeff and Audrey might use a surrogate to have a child, and they met her in person (Chandler, Monica, and Erica, respectively)

Yes!!! Thank you! Finally, someone else sees it. I have every season of FRIENDS on DVD and absolutely love it. I started watching Rules of Engagement maybe halfway into the first season so I went back and began watching it all. They remind me so so much of each other! Just like in the storylines you mentioned and in so many more. In one episode, Audrey & Jeff take off on trips and go to the ends of the Earth to prove each other wrong. Hello! Ross and Rachel on sooo many occassions!! Anyways, I definitely agree!!

yes, i have noticed this, i think they are both pretty good shows, but i dont think that the simlarities are obvious unless you watch both of them a lot. Also how i met your mother is like friends, except different story lines, but its about 6 friends and its very funny, but there are also other similarities. Aswell as other similarities in rules of engagment.

yeah I notices all those that you posted, plus there is one in which
chandler and monica has to take picture for engagement and chandler doesnt have any normal looking pic, In ROE adam looks gay in all his pictures when he and jeniffer also had to post for their engagement.
