look at this video
i know it's ATI vs nvidia but it explains how bits work near the end

the 450 card would last longer in terms of gaming because of the double data rate (DDR) difference

get a GTX 460...its only like $30 more, and it blows both cards out of the water...
the GTS 250's are pretty much renamed and repackaged 9800GT
trust me i have a GTS 250 currently, in about a week im obtaining my GTX 460...its a MUCH better card for a lilttle bit more money
thats my input,
analsys: GTS450 has a faster coreclock at 822mhz to GTS250's 738mhz, GTS450 loses the battle of shaderclocks at 1645mhz to GTS250's 1770mhz, but that doesnt really matter to much 1645mhz is still very fast.
GTS 450 has 192 processing cores, to GTS250's 128(this is a VERY big different, it gives it a very significant advantage over GTS250 which makes its previous battle of shaderclocks not really matter.
GTS450 wins the battle of eff. Memory clock at 3608mhz, over GTS250's 2000mhz(big difference due to DDR5)
the 256 and 128 bits dont really matter what matters is the kind of memory it is, the GTS450 is DDR5 and the GTS250 is DDR3. the DDR5 is MUCH faster.
get the GTS450 is really want to, it blows teh GTS250 out of the water, even with its price, its about $15 cheaper and it runs much faster. i would still sugest getting the GTX460 tho because it is the superior card at a tiny bit higher price, even the GTX460 768mb card makes these look like toys.

The 450's 128-bit GDDR5 is still faster than the 256-bit 250's (g/G)DDR3, so get the 128-bit 450. It should be faster.
