Neck hurts when trying to crack it?

Ok well his a little info. Im always lying down with my laptop on my stomach which makes my head in a weird place. When im sleeping i usual have a pillow from the shoulders up. and i sleep mostly on my back...

Problem: whenever i TRY to crack my neck. sometimes it just hurts but i always want to try to crack my neck but i can never stop. i always do this during school and sometimes i think this is weird. I always tilt my head right or sometimes the left to try to crack it. or sometimes i rotate it in a full circle. Sometimes i also want to crack my back. but dont know how because sometimes it just feels weird. im 13 and about 155 lbs. Thanks..

Edit: sometimes when i wake up in the middle of the night i try to crack my neck also.

    OK, I'll admit to you that I too crack my neck all day long. However, if it hurt I wouldn't do it. You know what I'm gonna say next right? Do I even need to?.....Stop! If it hurts, Stop! What else is there to say?

    You should stop laying with your head tilted up towards your laptop also. This is most likely the cause of the soreness in your neck in the first place. Put it on a desk or a table. Sit up straight and look straight at it.

    Sounds like you just have a bad habit of cracking your neck that you need to get over, so try.

    Oh, and I'm not even gonna tell you how to start cracking your back as well!

    Stop attempting to wear out the discs in your neck. You could mess up one of these days and end up paralyzed. Silly. Just Stop. And the reason it hurts is because our body sends a hurt message to know to stop something before we cause injury.

    Don't try and crack your neck, thats actually dangerous. start propping your self better to keep your neck more level and straight.
