Florida Residents...?

How do you like living in Florida? I realize it's hot there during the summer and warm most of the year (outside of summer), but do you enjoy the environment? Are the people nice? Good places to visit?

The reason I ask is because I'm considering getting a job in DisneyWorld in Orlando. I currently live in New Jersey, and am wondering if it would be worth it. I realize the pay and salaries aren't that great, but that's for another discussion.

I LOVE living in Florida. I moved from Seattle about 6 years ago and my only regret is that I didn't move here sooner. I actually work for Disney and LOVE it as well. The pay sucks but they really try and make up with some really great benefits. You can actually get cast member discounts at other Business located in the Orlando area.

Yes it gets hot and sticky here for a good chunk of the year but I actually enjoy that. I also love the afternoon thunderstorms. dint be fooled it actually can get really cold her. I have seen it in the 30's and having couple of days in the low 50's is not out of the question. However, today its a beautiful 72 and sunny so I really cant complain to much.

I have found the same problems and issues I found in Seattle I have found here in Orlando. Yes for the most part I have ran into nice people. My friends who visit tell me all the how much nicer people seem to be here. I think it cuz we have a lot of tourist and tourist are usually very happy people.

The coolest thing I love about florida is that there is so much to do and see. You can easily take a weekend away in Miami which is only a couple hours away. When you get back you just felt like you took a super long trip to another world. Florida is so Diverse in culture and atmosphere its amazing. North Florida is more like the old south and South Florida is more like South America or the Caribbean. I Absolutely love it. There is also tons to do in Orlando. I have yet to check everything I want to do in Orlando off my list.

I like it. I'm from New York and Ohio, but I moved here my senior year of high school. I'm 26, and never moved back. I find myself missing the North sometimes, but thats where I grew up, so ts hard not to miss it.

I went to Orlando for college and loved it there. I graduated high school (and currently live) outside of Jacksonville. Its nice, the people are nice, and I'm happy overall
