Any Agnostics Out There?

I have been an agnostic for about six years and I was just wondering if there are very many on R&S. How did you end up becoming an agnostic?

I am an agnostic pantheist. I can accept the possibility that there is or is not a god. I have a hard time accepting that god could be a deity in the form of man alone. I also find it hard to accept that a god would leave it to man to write the written word when nothing could compare to the writing of the creation itself. Man is vain to make god(s) in his image. For me if god does exist and is one and is responsible for making all things. Then God must be existence itself and therefore all creation is God. That is how it is one that is how it could always have been and always will be. When we die we go back to the recycling bin that we came from. Every life form is a circle, a cycle another chance to make conscious union with it. God gives us life. In return we give God consciousness. The flip side of that is that it's just in our imagination.

Agnostic theists, or agnostic atheists? Regarding which gods?

I'm an agnostic atheist regarding theoretically possible gods, and a gnostic atheist regarding impossible gods like the biblical one.

Guys, agnostic doesn't mean what many of you think it means. I would go as far as to say that most theists and atheists are agnostic. It only means that you lack absolute certainty about a claim. Agnosticism is NOT a middle ground between atheism and theism.

    Here's the bottom line.

Do you believe God(s) exist? If your answer is anything other than yes, congratulations...you're an atheist.

Source(s): To those that thumbed me down, listen up. Atheism and Theism deals with what you BELIEVE. Agnosticism deals with what you KNOW, Therefore; if you lack a belief in God(s), you're an atheist pure and simple. It doesn't matter if you claim not to know whether or not God(s) exists because that's not the question. The question is do you BELIEVE God(s) exist. If you don't say yes, that means you presently LACK a belief in God(s) which makes you're an atheist. It's quite simple really.

I was an agnostic because I kept wavering between beliefs, but now I think i'm an Atheist, but I am definitely open to evidence that could change that belief.
