Did the hear the recent story about...?
... the boy who had been submerged in the sea for 15 or so minutes and was supposed to be dead, but survived. Several people rescued him and gave him CPR. However, much credit was given to "God,", rather than to the rescuers and resuscitators, for letting him live.
So if no one had given him CPR, he would have survived anyway because of God?

It was all part of God's grand scheme er plan. That is how God reveals himself to us mere mortals.
But then, had nobody been there to pull the boy out of the water, oh but wait - that was all part of the great scheme too.
Mmm hmmmm. Wanna buy a bridge?

God wants us to show concern for others and do good to them.(Gal. 5:22)
God’s Word tells us to focus on the needs of others ahead of our own. Therefore, we take an active interest in one another.(1 Cor. 10:24, 33; Phil. 2:3, 4; 1 Pet. 4:15)
Showing consideration is not limited to some special time or particular situation. (Gal. 6:2; Eph. 5:2; 1 Thess. 4:9, 10) Instead, every day we try to be aware of the circumstances of others and readily respond to a need, even when doing so may be inconvenient for us. We want to be generous with whatever we have at our disposal—our time, material possessions, experience, and wisdom. We have Jehovah’s assurance that when we are generous toward others, he will be generous toward us.—Prov. 11:25; Luke 6:38.
We have to live each day for the glory of God. By doing so, we will find refreshment for our souls and will enjoy the loving care of our heavenly Father forever.—Matt. 11:29; Rev. 7:16, 17.

God didn't do anything since he doesn't exist. It was rescuers that shoved the water out of his lungs and replaced it with air and got his heart pumping so oxygen filled blood could travel to the brain and make him function properly. Not god, if he's up in the clouds how could he have done anything about it, he's too far away Jeez. And if you think god can do anything riddle me this. Can god make a rock that he can't lift? Think about it, if he can then he can't do something, lift the rock. But if he can't, then he can't do something, make the rock.

Man does not have the ability to let anyone live, that is God's job. Man is used as the vessel to do the work that God has called him to do...But, man should not get the credit for something that he has no control over....God is the giver and taker of life.....

ah yes, the body has certain mechanisms to protect against the cold. it would have had to be a sudden submergence rather then a gradual struggle. the body would enter a semi comatose state and even then, brain damage is a likelihood even as all blood is cut from the peripheral of the body and conserved for its oxygen.
