    i have been a fan since 91.

I loved Mansell in my adolescent years. I enjoyed watching Schumacher come up through the ranks and what he did with Ferrari when he moved there. I loved the fierce rivalry between McLaren & Ferrari. Ross Brawn was the business for me. I loved what a great team Williams were too in this era.

I loved Jenson Button from his debut with Williams, his services loaned out then to Renault and his exodus to BAR Honda. During this time I also strangely enjoyed watching Schmacher dominate the seasons - especially 2002 as the F2002 car was way above its class and the finest piece of workmanship to look at. Although this era was a little boring I enjoyed it as I knew i was watching something that I doubted would ever be seen again. A legend in the making. and also because he was driving a Ferrari.

However I am now not so sure after this season's combo of Vettel-Newey. Could they be the next Schumacher-Brawn?

Jenson's & Brawns 2009 world championships has been my F1 highlight of all time. I Absolutely adore JB and as i've mentioned before-Ross Brawn. Jenson is such a well balanced guy and an amazing race strategist. (pretty crap at qualifying). I love watching Jenson win races. Jenson has even warmed my cold heart to Lewis Hamilton and McLaren. Brawn's 2009 championship was a fairy tale in its own right and the stuff of which I will tell my grand kids. an amazing part of F1 history.

The 60's era fascinates me. I am in awe of drivers from this era such as Jim Clark & Graham hill along with the legendary Lotus team and Colin Chapman. The footage and stories from this era is truly magical and I love to get my hands on some elusive footage from these past days.

The F1 low point for me (and lets face it there is always some political drama mid season) has been the BBC - SKY F1 deal. I wont get started on this, but the fact of the matter is; this is a shady deal. The BBC have taken away my beloved sport from free to view. On this matter I have wrote to my local politician, BBC, SKY, FOM and Bernie. ALL the teams managers/owners and FOTA to express my concern on how this will affect the fan base not only here in the UK, but also worldwide. An utter disregard of the fans, but that's no surprise from Bernie. My hopes lie with Martin Whitmarsh and FOTA to contest this deal.

A race week begins around tuesday/wednesday when i will watch the classic grand prixs on the BBC red button, followed by Practice 1&2 on a friday. Saturday is followed by P3 and Quali and race day sunday and F1 forum again bbc red button. I love staying up for the Australian GP (they better put it back to its original time next year).

I try and get to an actual race once a year. Holidays are usually planned around 'Can I fit a grand prix into this holiday?'

    Formula 1 isnt a sport. Its a passion. Yeah, I'm a Formula 1 Junkie

I was a very active fan...then during Micheals years of domination i got bored and began neglecting it.

But ever since Alonso came by F1 has returned to its own spectacular best and i fell in love with it all over again.

But now Vettel seems to be the next schumi.

The newspapers are already publishing articles like-"Vettel is untouchable, but who is the best amongst the rest?"

I hope he does well but it kind of makes the sport boring

conversing for myself i'm a Nascar fan,yet i'm a motor events fan almost continually the 4 wheel type.Nascar,F1, Indy, champ vehicles GT vehicles i love em all.In any of the above reported stages think about very gifted, pretty experienced drivers. The technologies utilized in those type of series is surprising, probable optimal in F1 or Indy.I easily haven't got to any extent further something yet respect usually for those type of drivers,i do not understand too a lot about the different series yet Nascar has some you want to hate, kinda like Howard Cosell became for Monday evening football.yet all people who straps themselves right into a race motor vehicle and rides round a song at speeds as a lot as 2 hundred mph, often times inches aside has extremely were given #a million my respect and #2 my envy.i have considered some come from the open wheel vehicles and do exceedingly darn solid (Tony Stewart.Jeff Gordon) in Nascar.I cant remember a Nascar motive force who went in the different direction there would nicely be some i'm no longer attentive to.it's going to be exciting to work out how Pablo Montoya will fare contained in the bump and grind international it truly is Nascar.Montoya would ought to regulate somewhat, nicely per chance plenty yet i imagine he will take care of it ok he would have a extra efficient probability with a diverse crew Ganassi hasn't precisely been lighting fixtures up the Nascar circuit no longer almost as a lot success as his open wheel communities have had.i do not and does no longer placed down the different series. What i extremely hate is those type of Nascar bashers answering motor events questions!!Why do not they bypass answer matters they extremely understand something about.

Well... I could tell you lots of obscure facts.

But I've only been watching regularly since 2008. And only this season have I taken to watching both Friday practices, and the only reason I don't watch FP3 is because I can't find anywhere to watch it.

F1 may become boring in the next few years if Vettel remains dominant.

Watched my first race this year: Monaco. Now I'm hooked. I can't wait for the American Grand Prix next year. It'll be my first live race, and it'll be awesome.

I have to wake up around 4am to be able to watch most of the races, and often times a race weekend is the only thing helping me make it through the work week. I love Formula 1, and I can't believe I've only just discovered it. To think of all the races I've missed....ah, it's just depressing.

@vrslicks - one word - YOUTUBE. To your heart's content. Although it's harder to find whole races and stuff, because of Bernie and his bloody copyright nazism. I became a fan of Senna (Ayrton, not Bruno haha oh dear I have to remember to make that distinction now), Ratzenberger and Berger this way, through interviews and race pieces on YT. It's glorious.

(So is Gerhard at Monaco - type in "gerhard berger slide monaco 1995" and watch the video titled "Gerhard Berger Slides his Ferrari around Monaco 1995" - that is AWESOME stuff.)

I live in the UK and regularly watch all 3 practice sessions including Japan at 1 in the morning. Does that answer your question?

Source(s): Tired days after early and sometimes very early starts!

I've been watching since the early 70's and attend one on average every 3 years.
