It is the same voice actor (Craig Fairbrass), but Gaz clearly dies in MW1. At least it looks that way, Imran Zakhaev shot him in the head on the bridge. (See video below, at 2:26).

According to Call of Duty Wiki, it's not the same person. I also read somewhere that they are different characters, but the voice actor was a fan favorite as Gaz, so they brought him back as a different character.

Yea in cod4 gaz becomes ghost in mw2.and ghost never died at the end of mw2 he might come bck in mw3

Yes, they deffinatly use the same person for the voice but the Gaz clearly died at the end of Cod 4.

It's definitely the same voice actor, not sure if he changes his name however.
