= - 1.8 - (- 7.2)

= - 1.8 + 7.2

= 5.4

Answer: 5.4

(-1.8) - (-7.2) = -1.8 + 7.2 = 5.4.

Just the change a sign of a of the number in the second bracket because of the negative sign outside the bracket.It sometimes helps to think of multiplying the two negative signs ann calling the negative sign 'NOT'. So neg x neg = not.not so if you have not got a not the the number can only be positive(+).
